the dvd/cd burn drive is very quick and runs quietly.

Since my iMac did not come with a disc drive, I decided to get one so that I could play CD's and DVD's here in my home office while working. This device does everything it says it will and it is so easy to use. You just plug it into the USB port, slip the disc in and away it goes. I am really enjoying this item!

I use this device quite heavily. I rely on it rather than any other device for movies and documentaries that I have on DVDs because I can take it from room to room and do not need to have a screen in the rooms in which I am working, as that would be very inconvenient (and costly).

For someone who has been alive 25 years I’ve seen the transformation of technology. CDs are barely used in today’s world. but with my macbook air being without a CD/DVD reader I felt this was a necessity not only for movies but also have pictures and music on CDs from my childhood. works perfect.

This drive is so easy to connect and use. You simply plug it into your computer, insert a CD and upload into your music, video or photo file. It is that easy. It is the second one I have owned, and both have been excellent quality devices.

Build and Quality are second to none with Apple products. I was looking for an external drive to go with my MacBook Pro. While I considered some alternative drives that were cheaper, I am glad I when with this one instead. It just feels like its built well and so far works perfect with all of my computers.

I tried the Pioneer Blu-Ray and LG Blu-Ray drives currently sold at Best Buy. They were both underwhelming. However, this SuperDrive with the Insignia USB-A to USB-C adapter worked immediately on my MacBook Pro with touchbar. I was able to watch DVDs and burn CDs without any problems or any additional software.

The external DVD/Disc drive for the MacBook is great as it provides the perfect companion for laptops that have no disc spot, so you can view photos, or do other projects. Plus, its an Apple product so it meshes perfectly and you know it's quality

This is just a standard read-write external drive that you need for burning files or reading, playing CDs or DVDs, etc. It works like it should. There is no tray that slides in and out to load or remove disks. I have not tried it with any disks that have paper labels that can cause hang ups if they are curled on the edges.

We had just bought an Apple computer and my wife suggested we get a USB drive for it. The salesman recommended this drive for our new lap top. It is very easy to connect to the computer and works really well. You can thank the Best Buy salesman for this sale.

Great addition to my iMac. It has to be attached to one one of the factory ports but that was not a problem

Easy to use and a must have for macbook users. A bit pricey.

In a world where discs are no longer used for the most part, the super drive comes in very handy when programs are purchased that require disc use; especially, since hardly any last-tops come with disc drives.
