They were both underwhelming. However, this SuperDrive with the Insignia USB-A to USB-C adapter worked immediately on my MacBook Pro with touchbar. I was able to watch DVDs and burn CDs without any problems or any additional software.

It's a super fast, durably made, high quality external disc drive so that you can use disc based software or CDs and DVDs with your new sleek, thin Macbook. It works flawlessly. If you need a disc drive, just save yourself the trouble and hassle of searching for alternatives and buy this one.

A necessary addition for an iMac

While I know this technology appears to be on the way out like cassette tapes, I have a collection of disks that I want to be able to access. Obviously, this drive is the answer for me.

Perfect companion for laptop

Plus, its an Apple product so it meshes perfectly and you know it's quality

There is no tray that slides in and out to load or remove disks. I have not tried it with any disks that have paper labels that can cause hang ups if they are curled on the edges.

Much needed apple accessory

The salesman recommended this drive for our new lap top. It is very easy to connect to the computer and works really well. You can thank the Best Buy salesman for this sale.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought a new iMac ,when I hooked it up I found no drive ,so I looked them up on bestbuy.com ,and liked this one the best,when I went to the store to pick it up the sales person told me just plug it in and follow directions ,it was that simple,it took 2 mins to hook up and use.works great no issues yet.
