Real small and sleek! Easy to connect to my main computer!!!

I opted to purchase a cheaper non-Apple brand drive just because of the price difference, but after reading the reviews, I got this drive. I read the negative reviews about ejecting the disk and don't understand what the problem is. Just click and eject!! No problems and love that it's so slim and discreet in size.

Bought this because the SuperDrive in my iMac went out. It just kept spitting the discs back out, without reading it. Figured that Apple should work with Apple. Come to find out, it doesn't work. Had to search online and enter a piece of code in terminal. Reboot, and it works like a champ. Hopefully it lasts longer than the one in my iMac. It does what it's supposed to, but I rated it 4 out of 5 because of the extra step, that I had to look up, to get it to work.

Great little portable super drive easy to eject disc

Purchased a MacBook Pro without an internal drive and decided to get the external drive just to have. I've only used it a couple os times but it is a must have for those certain situations that involves using a cd drive or even placing music onto your laptop if you like to still buy cd's such as myself.

Set up was quick and easy. Just plugged in the USB connection and viola it works! Thought I would miss my previous built in optical drive but didn't use it that much. This is great because it's there when I need it, but my computer is thinner and lighter without it. Burns cd's and dvd's fast.

This product is ready out of the box, easy to use, but the cord length is too small, it has to sit very close to the computer.

We never thought we would need a cd drive when we bought the laptop. But, my daughter needed it for college. We tried the LG drive for less money. It was very slow and flimsy. This drive from Apple is well made and works well.

I have purchased this product before with a older MacBook, but unfortunately I had to return it not because anything was wrong with it but simply because.... I didn’t really need it... the new MacBooks are great, and everything nowadays is downloadable.. so maybe next time!!

The cost of a generic product to save a few bucks and hoping you don't have a problem with compatibility makes no sense. This DVD drive worked excellent with the laptop actually no installation I just plug it in and started using it, that's the way things should work for what the consumer pay for these items.

I needed to add CD and DVD capability to my MacBook Pro 13". I have an extensive CD library that this reader allows me to create numerous playlists for both my iPod and burnings of CD's for my wife's antique car CD player. It's a low cost addition to my laptop. Also, it's sleek design matches my MacBook Pro.

I bought the CD/DVD player with the purchase of the Apple computer as it is a mandatory device for my purposes. I just plugged into the computer and watched a video to check out the retina display. The only criticism I have is that there isn't an eject button on the player itself, it has to be ejected out from the computer.

Used for tax software and burning photos on my MacBook Pro. Used a usb to usb-c adapter. Dragged one folder onto another and tax software was ready to use. Used a memory card adapter to load to desktop. Clicked on icon and selected burn. Inserted a blank disk and was all set.

I got a new iMac which has no disc drive init. With a great many CD-ROMs of historical research and maps, I needed a good drive for them. I researched many and decided on this unit. I am highly satisfied with it. It connected quickly and does the job nicely and efficiently.

I purchased an iMac and couldn't live without a disc drive. I have been able to digitize my old CDs and it's great if you want to play DVDs, create CDs, etc. It also fits nicely on the monitor stand.

Simple to use, small to fit anywhere on a desktop.

I purchased this DVD player because I needed a way to play them on my MacBook Pro. I am so happy that I bought this because now I can use my Rosetta Stone Spanish Disc and other workout DVD's. This was a life saver, thanks Best Buy!!!!

This is my first external dvd drive which is easy to hookup. Just plug it in and voila. I only used it once to install software and it worked fine. I have not burned any dvd’s Yet, but I do not expect any difficulty. It’s slim and contemporary and well built.

After purchasing an LG to use with my Mac, I realized you get what you pay for. Yes, this one cost more, but sooooo much better. You plug it in and go. Software is already on your Mac. I haven't burned a DVD yet so I'm not sure how well that works. But playing a DVD is perfect.
