Seem less accessibility and a practical choice for any Mac owner. Slim to fit alongside your laptop book bag and certainly necessary to access your favorite dvds on the road.

I had a tough time deciding between an older Macbook pro with Superdrive internally, or a new Macbook pro with an external Superdrive. With how small and light everything is now, it was a great decision to go separate. Plus, now I can share my Superdrive between other macs.

This DVD+-RW/CD- RW Drive is awesome. This drive is very quiet and runs off of the USB port of the computer. I hate that Apple doesn't include CD drives anymore. I got this one as an open box, so it was a little cheaper with the same warranty.

I love my Mac mini, but I did have to spring for this peripheral as I’m not quite so ready to stream *everything* just yet. It’s allowed me to burn my CD collection into iTunes and to play the occasional Blu-Ray. I’m very happy with it.

I absolutely feel inl8ve with my MacBook when I got it. The only 'problem' was that they no longer have cd drives so I bought this one. It is absolutely perfect and it very easy to carry around. Being a college stupid I like having everything all together in one bag.

I have read the reviews and waited to purchase the Fitbit HR Charge. It was slightly difficult to get started but once I did it has been very easy to use. I am a little apprehensive to wear in the shower but from all the YouTube videos it seems like this should work fine also.

The super drive is too expensive to not also play Blu-ray. The connecting wire seems real fragile and the drive itself can heat up and get a little noisy. If you need it because you don't have access to a CD/DVD drive otherwise, get it. Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend picking this up.

We need a cd drive since our mac doesn't come with one. It's mall and compact and was on sale when we bought it so it was a win win! Def. recommend this. It's super compact which makes it easy for storage when we aren't using it or easy to put next to our computer when we are.

Got this so that I could download music from cd's to ITunes and then to IPods. Does exactly what I wanted it to do and so far has worked flawlessly. It is also compact and looks good on the desk next to the Mac. I could not be happier with the way it hooks up and then performs like it should.

overall, works just as an external dvd-rom player should: PnP. operation is pretty silent compared to other dvd-rom units i've used. no issues out of the box, so that is always a good thing. obviously, with apple product you pay a premium which shows in product fit and finish as well as packaging. somewhat difficult to compare to other non-apple units which sell for around $30, but i suppose you get what you pay for.

Simple to install & connect w USB as SuperDrive fits perfectly (of course) with my iMac. I'm able to produce various types of media, with CD/DVD recordings and rewrite capabilities. Durable & reliable as SuperDrive lasts for years.

Once again Apple has done the wonder of making life simple. Although some dispute the "ease" of removing the hard drive all together, I first bought another drive, which was a nightmare. Took it back and got the Apple, which I should have done in the first place, and the rest is history.

I purchased this with my MacBook Pro so that I would have it and I love it.. I have downloaded all of my dvd's on to an external with this and it works GREAT.. It is lightning fast at processing and displaying the information.

The new MacBook retinas are wonderful except for the lack of a disc drive. I'm baffled why Apple built them that way but happy the external disc drives are so lightweight and easy to use and am getting used to working this way.

My MacBook Pro has everything I need, with the exception of a DVD/CD drive. I delayed getting one, but ultimately made the purchase. This drive does exactly what I need it to do, and I'm glad I went ahead and bought it. I would absolutely recommend it to others.

I never thought that I would be able to run dvd's on my Macbook Air, so when I heard about it I didn't hesitate to buy one. I would definetly recommend this to my friends!

Great device to pair along side my Mac Studio. It helps for when I need music and more.

The external drive is a necessity for both my MacAir and Macbook Pro for uploading programs on disk, playing or loading CDs and occasionally accessing old business records stored on a CD. Apple makes a great device that is easy to use and light weight if you have to travel with it.

I bought this drive for my iMac mini and it worked fantastic. I've used it once to install Office and put it away. With it's slim, space-saving design I could keep it out but alas I don't have a lot of use for discs at the moment.

I bought this out of a need I came upon when needing to install printer software on my MacBook Air. I don't use this product often but it's nice knowing that I have the option. I don't usually carry it around in my bag but it's small enough to not impose any burden on the user.
