It’s been years since I bought this. It still works just like it did on the first day. It’s one of my favorite buys ever.

The external drive is a necessity for both my MacAir and Macbook Pro for uploading programs on disk, playing or loading CDs and occasionally accessing old business records stored on a CD. Apple makes a great device that is easy to use and light weight if you have to travel with it.

My MacBook Pro has everything I need, with the exception of a DVD/CD drive. I delayed getting one, but ultimately made the purchase. This drive does exactly what I need it to do, and I'm glad I went ahead and bought it. I would absolutely recommend it to others.

I love my Mac mini, but I did have to spring for this peripheral as I’m not quite so ready to stream *everything* just yet. It’s allowed me to burn my CD collection into iTunes and to play the occasional Blu-Ray. I’m very happy with it.

I bought this out of a need I came upon when needing to install printer software on my MacBook Air. I don't use this product often but it's nice knowing that I have the option. I don't usually carry it around in my bag but it's small enough to not impose any burden on the user.

So I purchased this CD Drive a few days ago to rip some CDs onto my iMac and it's super fast! So far I have nothing bad to say, works well and even though the price is a bit high, it's still an apple product that comes with highest quality and performance so it's worth it!

I know that CD drives aren't necessary anymore in this age of flash storage and digitally downloaded music and movie files, but for an old guy like me, it gives me comfort to know I can rip old CDs onto my new computer. I'm happy with this product and its functionality.

Simple to install & connect w USB as SuperDrive fits perfectly (of course) with my iMac. I'm able to produce various types of media, with CD/DVD recordings and rewrite capabilities. Durable & reliable as SuperDrive lasts for years.

To have to buy an external DVD drive is plain ridiculous and means your overpriced laptop isn't living up to its duties. Fanbois swear this is how it should be and will pay for accessories accordingly. It's does the job the Macbook Pro can't because it wasn't built in.

Super easy to use, as with most apple products it is plug and play. Just Mack sure you do not go through a USB hub. I tried to use a USB 3.0 hub and could not get the computers to recognize the drive. Once I plugged directly into my Mac it worked fine.

Love the portability. Have always had a built-in deck on 17" HP so wasn't sure I would like having this as a separate device but once cd/DVDs are loaded love not having to carry the extra weight on daily basis!

For some reason my drive started to fail so I was told to purchase this and see if it helped. It did. No issues. I can play, record and burn all on this one device.

This is a must have if you are getting a new Apple Laptop. It's nice that this is a separate component, which means if something goes wrong you don't have to be without your laptop, it's easily replaced.

it works really well especially is you have cds you would want to hear or even dvds

The Apple-Super Drive is a great external drive that meets my needs. I'm able to play CD.'s, videos, DVD's, and burn music from my library onto blank CD.'s. I recommend this product as a great external drive that will meet your needs.

This is the 2nd Apple drive I have boughten. I recently bought a new iMac, gave the 2 year old one to my wife, so I needed the new drive for the new computer. I never had an issue with the other one, and so far, no issues with this one.

I don't use cloud storage at this time. But this drive worked perfectly in uploading my turbotax software. I also store documents and photos using this unit. So far its been excellent. Very qiute.

Wife missed not being able to make CD's when we got rid of the main desktop PC. This was a simple solution little pricey but its apple so to be expected.
