I was worried I would not like this, since my dvd drive was built in on my last computer, but it has been ok. It's easy to use, and I like that fact that my computer weighs a lot less. I don't use it that much, as I use a flash drive more than I do a dvd drive.

Great device to pair along side my Mac Studio. It helps for when I need music and more.

The Apple SuperDrive is the perfect drive for your iMac or your MacBook Air. I use it on my iMac 20 inch and it has worked perfectly. I never thought I'd be using It so much but comes in really handy especially for burning and ripping CDs/DVD.

I needed a drive to load my CDs on my computer. I looked at few that were less expensive. I was very happy with the apple product again, so easy to hook up,sets it self up,and ready to use in 5 minutes . Click and drag your CDs into iTunes . Very easy user friendly.

The Apple Superdrive is a must for those of us who refuse to go completely digital. This drive is necessary for anyone with a Mac Mini or MacBook Air and wishes to add their CD collection to their iTunes library or watch their DVDs on their computer.

I gave this, along with a MacBook Air, as a gift to a family member and they love both. From what they've told me it's very easy to use and they're glad to have it since the newer model laptops do not include this feature.

Works great. all you have to do is plug the super drive into one of your USB ports. The super drive does all the work, no need for programs or have to download any apps to use. It's plug and play, simple as that.

I got this for my mac because I still like buying physical music on cd and have a lot of discs that I still use for work and school as well. The super drive is easy to setup and use. Just plug it into any USB on your computer and it's ready to go.

I realize that the trend is to purchase programs and apps on line, but there are times that you need to download software that you have. It is a shame the the drive is no longer build in the IMac. But this drive works well, and is easy to set up and use.

As I have a imac and needed a CD drive, bought this at Best Buy and it has continued to work without any problems. Easy to operate as the imac recognizes it and I can control everything from the computer. A definite great buy.

Work as it should, perfect for my older MacBook with Retina display as my MacBook doesn’t come with dvd drive and I use dvd quite often. So far so good and I can’t complain.

I had a number of CD's and DVD's that I wanted to play on my iMac , so I purchased the apple drive and it is fantastic. So easy to use. I installed a dvd for a new printer and that was also very easy

At first I wasn't pleased to discover that the Macbook Pro doesn't have a built in drive. I purchased this product because I use the drive feature quite a bit. I actually like the product and the portability and when I'm with other Mac users we can all use it.

I purchased this as I needed a CD/DVD option for my iMac. Since it is an Apple product, it was plug and play. Seems to be very nice quality and works well!

I assume that it will work well. I have confidence in Apple products. It is more expensive than others available, but sometimes, you get what you pay for. I was just wondering if I will be able to record CDs with it. I hope so!

Went a long time without any kind of external DVD drive for my Mac Book Pro laptop - the first generation to not have an internal DVD drive. Some software still comes on CD so is useful for that - and converting songs off 100's of music CDs into iTunes.

I needed an external optical drive for my MacBook, and tried one of the Samsung models. Sure, it felt like a laptop drive with a plastic cover, but it seemed work and actually looked more substantial that similar $30 models. Well, the motor noises were bit a loud, and I thought nothing of it. Two months later it couldn’t read CDs. Chastened, I bought this instead. Its mechanism is probably not much different than the Samsung, but the substantial casing is much quieter, and that probably keeps the mechanism more stable and less subject to vibration.
