love this external DVD SuperDrive because I can use it with my laptop as well and if there's issues, just replace the external drive instead of having to try and go inside the old computers to try and fix them.

As laptops in the more affordable range move towards not including a dvd/cd-rom drive, those who have hard copies of data, videos, and music are stuck with no way of using the discs. The super drive is the answer. You just plug it in through the USB port and begin using it.

It works great, I haven't had any problems with it. I would just recommend for everybody to buy the USB Type C to A adapter in case you have the newer mac computers that have Type C input.

Most MacBooks don't have a disc drive anymore, so this is a good accessory to have in case you need it in a pinch. Used it 2-3 times when I was given files on a disc and it saved me some trouble.

Plug and play use on our Apple MacBook and iMac.
Must have for installing software or burning image and video discs.
Only con is that the USB cable is short and needs to be sat on a counter within a few i he's of the USB plug in.

My new iMac did not have a disc drive built in and since in my work on history I have numerous CD-roms with data on them I need an add-on. This is compact and works so easily.. It is a great piece of equipment.

I love my MacBook Air for its slimness, but I still need to occasionally utilize CDs and DVDs for graduate school and work. The SuperDive is an easy plug and go setup, has incredible reader stabilizer, and fits easily in any bag that houses my laptop.

This purchase is a must if you need a external dvd drive, since the newer MacBook Pro's do not include anymore. Usb thumb drives have their place, dvd drives have theirs.Superdrive has the typical excellent Apple build quality, and functions perfectly.

Rock on!
What a great addition to my MacBook Pro M1.
Will require an Apple AV adapter to work properly. Don't get conned into buying a HyperDrive hub - they are junk!

Previous Apple desktops and laptops had a built-in DVD/CD drive. The current generations do not have this feature, so this peripheral becomes a must have. Very affordable, especially for Apple.

Since my iMac did not come with a disk drive I needed one to upload some CD's and some pictures I had on disk. This was so easy. All You have to do is plug and play. Can't get much simpler than that. Now I am enjoying some old music I had.

My new Macbook Pro has no disc drive. I wasn't sure if I would need this or not but it turns out, I did. I have a few books for school that come with optional disks. The drive is so simple to use.
