works out of the box, no drivers to load, looks great with the macbook, read the disks i needed to load perfectly. there are less expensive options but you can't go wrong buying apple products and you would not save enough to make it worthwhile

Slim design can fit anywhere on your desk. Takes up only one usb port. Works as it should Apple quality and craftsmanship

Works good too! This DVD drive is a little more expensive than others, others may have faster write time or come in a smaller package but I like this one because it just works. I knew going in there would be no issues and it matches my Mac Book Air perfectly.

I got this as my new MACBOOK Pro did not have a drive. My 8 year old mac had a drive and I missed it so I purchased this external drive. It is great and I would recommend this as a must buy.

Bought this for our new iMac and it works great. Wanted a drive that would work seamlessly with MAC. Have played some movies and burnt discs to save photos. Very quiet when in use compared to others I have used in the past.

Bought this Sony sound bar to get better sound out of my TV, which just happens to be a Sony also. I figured this sound bar would be a good fit and it was. It even included the optical cable. However, we still have trouble understanding what is being said sometimes. We think it is the movie sound track-it only happens with movies. With the TV speakers, we would adjust the volume from 20 to 45 depending on the movie or channel. With this sound bar we only need a 4 or 5 level up or down adjustment. That being said, there is no visible or audible adjustment level, so you never know where the volume setting is at. But, I bought it on sale and it did improve the sound and the volume control is easier so we like it. It is also Blue tooth capable, so we paired it with Alexa and listen to music during the day. Again, a better speaker that Alexa's speaker. Of course you have to change the input from TV to Bluetooth, and back to TV. And you now have 2 remotes, Directv & the Sony sound bar. We don't mind these little inconveniences. We are older and remember no remotes, fine tuning and moving the rabbit ears to get better reception when you change the channel, and no blue tooth.

I've been frustrated by being hampered in playing Keynote presentations I've produced on my desktop, only to have disks not readable by PC equipment at various sites. This should make things a whole bunch easier and eliminate hassles in setup and presentation.

We purchased the superdrive in connection with our new MacBook Air. We do not use a DVD drive often.....only to install an occasional program here and there.....but overall we really are impressed with all of the new Apple products that we've purchased from best buy.

This external drive allows me to download music CDs I already own to my music files. I also can play DVDs I haven’t added to my movie files. It’s very useful for me.

As long as you have an Apple laptop, then just plug it in and play. No need to instal anything on your Apple laptop. I'm not sure if this works on Windows and quite frankly, I don't care to know.

The Apple superdrive is perfect and versatile w/a sleek design and simple to use.

I needed to be able to access CD's and DVD's on my Mac. happy with it and no issues at this point. would be nice if it supported blu-ray, but not a deal breaker.

After deciding to go with the retina display, I wasn't happy to have to buy a CD/DVD drive (I have to burn CD's and DVD's for work on occasion, and I like watching DVD's on my computer), but this one was ready and available for a decent price for people like me.

In the beginning, I had regrets spending 70 bucks on something Inwas uncertain of. Nevertheless, I have no regrets. I am glad and pleased, and have not had any issues since I purchased this (well over 5 months ago).

I mainly use it to transfer CDs to ITunes although the transfer rate could be faster. Ejecting the CD is easy with the eject button on my keyboard. I haven't used it much yet but so far it works great with my 2013 IMac. The drive is very simple and easy to use.

Great product for a great price! I highly recommend Apple users to get this. It helps to have it when need it in a situation when you need to rip a disk in or play a DVD.

Fast enough , great design ...... absolutely necessary if you need to burn cd,dvd ecc.

It's APPLE. What can I say? It works as expected. I bought this to use with my new IMAC 5K. Although most every app and anything else you need is subscription based or downloadable, every now and then, you will still need and external drive.

Nice drive for the mac. It's fast and quiet. Don't like the fact that there's no eject button on it (I'm used to PCs) or the fact that It has to be connected to the mac as it needs a powered usb (was hoping it would just connect to my hub, but no, I have to sacrifice a usb on the computer for it). It also has a really short usb cord so it has to be right beside the computer. Other than those issues, it's nice.
