Love it works great easy to use the only problem I had was when u plug it up to your computer it does nothing. You have to put a cd in the drive before anything will pop up on your computer

Apple's external CD drive works well and serves it's purpose. This is the (extra) price we pay for those of us who have the Macbook Air or Pro Retina machines--no drives on those. Here's the trade-off in weight & overall footprint. Is it worth it? Eh..debatable. Yet, it's still a good product--just not 5 star worthy.

This DVD ROM is perfect for all of your Alpple products.. It is true plug and play. I purchased a less expensive one and was very disappointed. I returned it and picked this one up. It works perfectly. Very pleased with this purchase.

Works very well with my Apple computer! I only purchase Apple products and was going to get it from the Apple store, but decided to go to Best Buy and was actually surprised they carried Apple products for the same price. Great deal!!

This drive is not very bulky, rather small and compact, and a need for some Macs since no built-in drive is added to laptop. I figured it is necessary to have to download CD, or DVDs but really its just plain ridiculous that its needed to purchase separately!

The super cd thing is really handy. Just connect and insert a cd, dvd... thats all I've used so far. I'm the person who loves cds so it was a must have for me. its been about a month and nothing bad so far. I expect it to last as long as the laptop :)

Apple's standby superdrive... works as advertized. Simple to use as everything is ready to go out of the box, just plug it in. Only negative is actually having to buy it in the first place. But I am really loving the SSD on my laptop compared to disk drives.

This is a good accesory to have with a macbook because they no longer come with disc drives. Its not a bad thing that they don't come with disc drives for we are heading in a digital direction with music and movies and disc drives no longer are used for storage. However this is still a good purchase if you want to occasionally use it, and it can be used on more than one computer.

I bought a Mac mini and this superdrive so I could hook it up to my big screen tv so I could watch movies with the family at night and check emails and work stuff during the day... Works perfect!

I purchased this because my 2nd MBP has no cd/dvd drive. I think its a major set back for Apple, offer the "Air" but keep the MBP with the drive. The unit is compact and fits inside my briefcase/backback without taking any significant amount of space. In all honesty I haven't used the drive yet. I trust in Apple products. I haven't bitten into a bad Apple yet.

It's small and compacted and easy to use. Just pricey but it's an Apple product.

The only downside to my new iMac was that it didn't come with a disc drive. Which is essential for downloading certain programs (like Photoshop). I purchased this neccessay drive reluctantly, but it's great and easy to use.

Great for burning DVDs to send to family that just can’t figure out social media!! Only reason for the 4 star vs 5 star review is I recently purchased the 27in 5k display and although streaming is great it doesn’t beat 4K BluRay Player. Therefore I wish apple made a Blu-ray or 4K version instead of a DVD version.

This is a great product that allows you to connect a CD drive to your mac with no issues. This is also a great product because it allows you to play DVD videos

I plugged the SuperDrive into my iMac USB port and was using it within minutes. No installation procedures. Just plug and play. It's nice to not have a separate power supply to manage.

This drive works 1000x better than the one I purchased from amazon. The amazon one was just a few bucks cheaper and it scratched my cds and caused my MacBook to freeze in iTunes.

Other than having to buy an adapter to connect this to my Mac Pro I have had no problems with this. It’s been very easy to use and gives me the ability to use software that comes in disc only.

It’s by Apple. Therefore, it is overpriced. But since it is by Apple, it works perfectly. Gets the job done.

This things was literally plug and play. Created add to my Airbook yet. Wish I would have grabbed it earlier.

Can use it for my desktop and our laptop. Small and compact. Connects by USB cable.
