Was easy to set up. I had to get a lightening adapter as my connector (non-apple) did not work. Showed videos and pictures to my grandkids

MY OLD COMPUTER HAD THIS BUILT IN, AND I KNEW I WOULD MISS HAVING THE ABILITY TO USE THE FEATURE ON MY NEW MAC. THIS MAKES IT POSSIBLE. I DON'T USE OFTEN, BUT IT IS THERE IF I NEED IT!

After trying DVD drives by their competitors I was pleasantly surprised by how easy this was to use. The epitome of plug and play. Apple gets it. And, that's why my next computer purchase will be from them.

The superdrive was easy to install; it didn't require any startup. It works fine and will be useful for when I need to use a disk instead of a download.

This was purchased for my daughter in college to use on her apple Mac book pro for extra offline storage of items she will not use on regular basis. We also purchased some dvd classes and needed it to work with her mac book. This works well and I will be purchasing one for her sister to use with her mac book also.

We bought a new Mac after our old one finally became about 10 years old and obsolete the latest generation Mac. When paired with the CD/DVD ROM drive it is perfect! we love it and will never look back.

Super is the device works without a problem.I have had this drive for a month and have had no problems with it on my Mac Pro. The only thing I also agree with those who have expressed concern regarding the lack of a good old fashioned disk ejection mechanism.

Love this SuperDrive. I bought a Mac, and need access to music CDs. Quick to hook up, ripped music from 10 CD's in 45 minutes. Will buy again if I need to.

This is a fast dvd writer/reader for the apple universe. It's not terribly over-priced, and it works without any drama. Good add-on to a mac mini.

I bought this for my iMac and was expected to have to go through an entire install process but I was pleasantly surprised. All you do is plug it into the USB drive on the back of the computer and it instantly works.

Apple products are very dependable. I bought this to replace a cheap CD reader that quit working suddenly. If I had bought this first I would have saved myself money, time and a lot headache.

This Apple label drive is compatible with all Macintosh computers that are fitted with USB 2.0/3.0 connectors. The drive is durable and powered by the USB connection. I have personally used the drive with current iMacs, MacPros and MacBook Pro laptops. (It likely will be the last DVD drive that Apple offers for sale).

Plug and play. Ease of use with MacBook Pro. Very useful.

I didnt think when we bought a mac about not having a cd/dvd drive. This fixed the proble m and works perfectly with the mac.

Before I bought this, I had purchased a generic dvd drive that was supposed to work with my mac, well it didn't work. This one was more money, but works perfectly.

Apple iMac does not come with internal drive. Had to purchase this. Apple is getting cheap. IAc over 2000 with no internal cd. Drive is good works great and does not take up room.

The external Apple CD/DVD Player is perfect for my needs. I should have purchased it a long time ago. It certainly has made my work a lot easier. It is super easy to set up. Just connect and go.

Got my wife a Mac Mini M2 to replace her old and failing 27" iMac and needed to have this for playing DVDs and burning photos and data to CD/DVD. One issue we have is that it has to be directly connected to the Mac Mini. Even with a powered hub we were told it needed power. An expansion dock is probably in our future to add more connectivity and storage options.

The disc drive worked as expected. Plugged it in and it was ready to go. I would have given it 5 stars except it is somewhat pricey. There are less costly non-Apple disc drives available. Due to concerns with compatibility, I payed a little more for this Apple drive.
