As I indicated above I do think there should be an eject button on it, but I have had no problem whatsoever with ejecting it from the MacBook. It seems to work great no issues at all whatsoever and it's exactly what I needed!

This device works great and since many of my clients are STILL bringing me old DVDs to rip the content from, it definitely comes in useful. However, I really wish it could do Blu Ray as well. Doesn't make sense in this day and age that apple doesn't have that option. Anyway, this device looks good and works as advertised!

I love my Mac. I love the DVD player that now goes with it. I thought it would be weird having it "separate" from the laptop, but I actually kind of like it that way.

Easy to set up and use. Would be great if it had a longer cord.

The SuperDrive is really a required component. I can not fathom not being able to listen to music CDs or watch video DVDs on an new piece of technology. It definitely does the job. Light and sturdy. I definitely recommend it.

The internal drive on my older iMac stopped working, and there is no space for an internal drive on the new and much thinner iMacs, so this external drive is now working great on both!

I bought this for my macbook air. I don't use a lot of cd's or dvd's so this is a great choice because I can use it on the few times I want to or need to download something. It's small light and easy to use. Just plug an play.

Had bought a previous External drive which did not work with my Apple computer. This one just plug in and ready. Very easy to use.

I read the reviews and many of them said it didn't work with the new MacBooks, so I was tilted about buying it... I decided to give it a try and go to buy it, but I took my MacBook Pro 15" 2018 with me to the store, a CD and a DVD movie to test the Super Drive there immediately after purchasing it ( and save the inconvenience of having to go back to return it to the store if I had issues). The Apple rep at Best Buy plug the drive in, answer the few questions for the setup (European DVD format is different to US and the SuperDrive is a global product), we put the DVD into the drive and my Mac immediately recognized the device and went through the motions to play the movie.

I bought this because my MacBook Air did not have a place to put CDs in, so I bought this. It only works for Apple devices with USB ports, though. No problems otherwise.

My MacBook Pro does not have a disk drive so I bought this to use. As an external disk drive it works just as fast as any disc drive I’ve ever used. Quality Burns and does not heat. I recommend

I went to Best Buy knowing what I wanted. I walked to the correct aisle picked up item and walked to register. I paid for item and went home Item works great as do the majority of Apple products.

I highly recommend purchasing this product when buying a Mac. I didn't realize until I got my computer how that I didn't have a drive built in so I could play DVDs or CDs, buying this fixed that issue. Works great!

My Super Drive connected to my Mac very quickly. I needed a quick replacement to complete my music Library. It works great no problems connecting it to my computer, As to be excepted it's Apple.

Wanted to have an external drive to access CD's and DVD's I have. The drive works great so far. Would recommend it.

Needed more storage for my wife’s Mac and my daughters Mac. Plus they wanted to be able to share files. An external drive seemed to be a good choice. It was easy to install and works great!

This was a lifesaver, I needed it during tax season to correct a prior year return and the program was on a disc. I picked this up at best buy, plugged it in and I was back in business. Works great!

As Isaid , an old fashioned gal, I find a lot of old cds to add to my golden oldies collection. Worked like a charm right out of the box. Would recommend to any and all apple owners
