I love that this drive is easy to use; just plug it in, insert a cd and your mac does the rest. I gave it four stars because the usb cord it very short. Almost to short to allow the drive to rest in the empty space near the trackpad. Another small con, it doesn't come with an apple logo or an apple sticker... I said SMALL.

Although we probably will not need to use this a lot, there are things we have stored on cd’s. It works great and is small so doesn’t take up much space which is also nice. Very happy with it.

So glad to have this since most computers do not have a DVD drive in them any more. I still have a need for one, and this is perfect!! Super easy to use-love it!

The optic drives were the first things to go out on my old IMac and MacBook Pro. The use of an external SuperDrive is perfect for a multi- apple owner. Love it so far!

good product...has to have direct plug adapter to computer due to the power needed

I needed an easy to use DVD add-on for my iMac and this turned out to be just the right unit. It was Plug-n-Play with no connection issues. It could have a slightly longer interface cable but it works for most applications.

brought it home, connected it to my mac and away it went .it was very easy to hook up and get working. it was good for me because I'm not very computer literate so ease of set up was critical.

This accessory is a must have if you have a Mac. With more and more computers coming without CD/DVD ROM drives these days, it's surprising how often you need one to install software or use them for entertainment. The drive is light, compact, unobtrusive and easy to use. Definitely worth paying the extra money to get one.

I purchased this disk drive for my Mac book. So far it has worked very well with no problems. I thought about purchasing something cheaper but I wanted to stick with the Apple product.

I have a large cd music collection. Apple no longer has superdirves available Sox I checked with Best Buy to have a current one with my new Mac mini

I debated on purchasing this Apple optical drive versus other brand names. all of the reviews said there were no problems encountered witht the Apple drive on my new MacBook Pro. They were right!

I bought this a few years ago when Apple got rid of the disk drive. It worked great for me! I have no need for it anymore but it still works and if you use it, I would recommend it.

I didn’t think I would use this product as much as i have so far. Wished it was already installed in the actual computer but other than that, it’s a must have!

I read lots of reviews on all of the options available for IMacs & decided on this one. This computer is wonderful-- very fast & lots of storage. The extra cost for the fusion drive is definitely worth it!

This is just what i needed to install all my old files into my new iMAC. It did not come with a disk drive. It also plays my CD's and DVD's. Nothing to load for it to work. Just plug into USB and it starts working.

Allowed me to add security software and a few packages I wanted to back up my work. It had to be simple as I am a beginner with Apple products so I had to tutor myself based on what I knew about Windows software.

As my apple did not have a cd rom player built in I needed a cd rom disk reader for numerous appn loading, music, etc. This is very slim and takes no space on my desk. Very well constructed

Not something used much but there are times I need a DVD. Wish a carrying case was provided for the price but works as expected.

This was exactly what I was looking for and it very easy to use. You do have to push the disc in sometimes, but otherwise, no issues at all.
