As with all apple products everything works seamlessly as soon as it’s plugged in. For it being 2018 they should have a 4K/Blu-ray burner but still overall a great easy to use product

There are simpler ones and more complex ones but overall this is okay for doing its job and not much more. Quite costly compared to others but the Apple experience is not lacking with the nice feeling aluminum housing! Works great for my MacBook Pro 2019.

This is a great purchase if you buy a laptop that doesn't have a disc drive and it works well. Your computer is lighter and will be easy to carry wherever.

necessary with new Mac Books to read or burn data to a. CD. Not sure how long it will last but it is working fine with limited use

I bought two pop-out drives of lesser brands, but caved and got this one. I don't use an optical drive often. When I do, I want it to work.

Not only do I have an extra DVD player with an awesome screen, but I can now make copies of pictures and family DVDs for everyone I love. Twice the work with Mac ease. I love it

Buying a Macbook pro without an internal drive, like my last Macbook pro, wasn't a problem with this great accessory. With several programs on C.D. and with several DVD's this was an important addition.

As always, Apple products are very good and reliable. I bought this to,use with my Mac Mini. All you have to do is plug-n-play. To get it to start working, I just had to restart the computer and it was up and running

The Apple support drive is wonderful! I was able to download the CD in order to file my income tax. It was so easy and I would highly recommend it. I use it with my new MacBook Air.

love this drive. sometimes you need to install something via disk, or write things to a cd, watch dvds...not everything is digital nowdays. i like to be old-school sometimes and this peoduct does the trick.

Ever since Apple stopped putting media drives in their MacBooks this is the only real option, but it is a good one. Great product like most everything with the Apple logo. Easy to use and carry (if needed).

If you are old school or just have some old dvds you need read and an Apple product, this is the external reader for you- combined with the cord it works very well and was a great buy

Apple external disc drive so you can make musical cd’s. I wish Mac still put these drives in their computers.

Best tv I've ever purchased. Was on a budget and was very surprised at such high quality, for the price. Great picture. Easy hookup. Ok sound (definitely going to buy soundbar). And as I said, great price.

Easily set up to view DVD's and CD's on your laptop. When you have a full library of these devices that includes your favorite artists (music) it is nice to be able to utilize them when not at home and traveling.

I love Apple products, but the new iMacs (sans PowerBook) do not have SuperDrives in them! We do have a need for the drive, so had to buy the external SuperDrive. In true Apple fashion, you plug it in, and you're done!

The idea of this unit is phenomenal; however, with my MacBook Air 2020 model not having any optical drives and only two thunder ports and the reality of discs becoming obsolete, you will spring for this unit but never use it. Unfortunately its price point is pretty high for a component that will just accumulate dust. It's Apple made, so it'll make sense for you to buy, just because. Used it to test it out when I first purchased and haven't used it since. I guess I'm ready though if out of nostalgia someone needs me to burn them a mixed CD....

I was a little surprised that a laptop comes without a CD drive, but I see why they chose to go external. The macbook this goes with uses the space for better things. Worked right out of the box with no issue.

ahhh, can't believe I waited so long to go for a Mac, You pay more up front, but so much less in time, frustration and repairs than for the normal PC. Feels great to sync all of my devices............
