I purchased my MacBook Air this past summer, and didn't expect to need a DVD-Rom for my college courses as I'm studying sign language...low and behold, needed on this semester. This has worked wonderfully.

I wanted to get the MacBook Air because I rarely use a CD-ROM anymore so the Air made sense. When I do want to use my MacBook Air as a DVD player or play a CD-ROM, I like I can easily plug it in and use it.

This dvd drive works as it should. I like that it is powered from a single usb port, as opposed to most others that require 2 usb connections. It would be nicer if it included blu-ray format. I think it is overpriced at $80, but the finish and quality is top notch. I bought it so it would match my 2013 MacBook Air and it does just that

I bought the Superdrive when I purchased the MacBook Pro recently. I didn't think I would like having them separate, but its not a problem. I've only used it a couple of times and it was very easy to use

I wasn't sure I would like not having the drive built into the laptop but have decided I do. It's easy to plug and do what I need to do then unplug. It makes the laptop lighter so much easier to travel with.

This product was amazing! At first I was worried about the price, but it was well worth the purchase. I use it with my Macbook Pro and it couldn't work better! Very satisfied with this purchase!

I had no trouble setting this up. And best of all, unlike previous hard drive back ups I have used, once I try to read it on my computer it is easy and you do not have to be a computer geek to use it.

MacBook Pro with no CD drive. CDs are last century but are products offered that way, no alternative. This purchase required for their functional use with Mac, and this external drive the only selection with Apple/Mac branding. Uncertain 3rd party-equipment interoperability so 'rode with the brand' so to speak.

This is a true plug and play item. In addition to Apple products I was able to read a PC MS Office disk with no problem. Powered through a single USB cord. Buy!

Another great Apple product, beautiful apple design, matches my Apple laptop perfect. I will be surprised if it doesn't have the same dependability and reliability as all my previous Apple products have had.

Purchased the MacBook Pro and needed a drive to go with it. This is the Apple OEM Drive and it is fantastic. Just what I needed. Highly Reccomended.

Despite the fact I have a new MacBook Pro and I don’t use cd’s too often, I still use cd’s and burn them as well. This SuperDrive has worked really well for me. It’s price is decent enough. I really onLu bring it out when needed. If you are looking into this and only have usb-c ports, you need to find a usb c to a with the a being the female end. This is because the SuperDrive still uses a usb a.

Plug and play it was that easy! Lightweight and very versatile!

My iMac Pro Air doesn’t have a disc drive and neither does the iMac mini so this is perfect for being able to switch back and forth

I was disappointed that my iMac 27" came without a DVD Writer. But after discussing with the Best Buy sales person, I purchased this writer. Easy to use and burns CD/DVD well

Unpacked and began using right away. No problems at all either ripping CDs, or installing tax software. One of the few items manufactured by or for Apple that actually works without problems.

This item seems to be OK but unfortunately the classes that were promised by Best Buy to help me set up the computer are not available so I am operating it on my own – not a great way to sell something. Went to class today and was told it was cancelled and only iPad would be given not anymore for the laptop!

Purchased the SuperDrive to accompany my Mac mini. It works great and looks great. No problems at all. There is a premium for the Apple brand, but I am at a point now where I just want things to work. =)

This unit is definitely Apple. It is up to their standard. It is compact and light weight.

I purchased this Apple external superdrive so that I could put my Cd's and Dvd's on my Mac. It was very helpful and easy to use. The price was a bit higher than other name brands but it is Apple. It also comes with the USB cable for easy transferring.
