Love my new toy. I like to watch movies on my new Mac book Pro and instead of streaming, I decided to buy a dvd player and am thoroughly enjoying it as it is small and light and can be carried anywhere.

I was continually disappointed that the lighter/newer laptops did NOT include disc drives. I was happy to find this one easy to use and able to convert my laptop into a portable movie theater!!

Great DVD drive for the Apple computers. No hang ups or jams. The unit is solidly built not flimsy and is fully recognized by the apple computers. We can use it on different ones when we need to.

It’s a great add-on for my 16” Macbook Pro! I had to work on a project that was on dvd’s. Picked this up and it worked perfectly for my project!!!

Aside from not being built in the cpu, the drive is very easy to use, and has worked like a charm. The separate device is only a minor inconvenience. Highly recommend it to anyone looking to buy.

Bought this to compliment my new Macbook Air and am not disappointed in it's design. Like other Apple products, works well and has a sleek design.

Works as expected. Could have went with a less expensive choice, but wanted Apple to match new computer: Definitely works well and looks sharp.

It is nice to not have a CD : DVD drive in the system. To have an external system that you can connect and use is very good business plan. Some days you need it others you do not. It can be broken down to fit in my laptop travel bag.

The new iMac does not have a disc drive and I have many old photo dics and music cd's I wanted on my computer. This drive is plug and play. Works seamlessly with my new computer.

It works as described I have not had nay issues with the drive and have used it extensively. I have been though other brands that quick working after a couple weeks. Satisfied with product.

Purchased the SuperDrive for an Apple MacBook Air. This is a great addition to any Apple computer product that does not have a built in drive. Easy to hook up and will fit in any carrying case....

It made my life easy using my iMac. The good thing about external drives is that they can be replaced anytime needed without messing up your computer or waiting days to have it fixed.

I'm a little old school, so I still like burning CDs, and DVDs of stuff I put together and as backups of old photos. This works great and doesn't create any stress on my MacBook

The iMac doesn’t have a disc drive so if you want to use a DVD with your Mac it is a must have. I bought the Apple and I am pleased with it.

The MacBook Air does not come with an internal optical drive. This unit fills the bill. Easy to set up, jut connect the USB cable and you're ready to go. Handles CD's and DVD's but not Blu-Ray. Also works on both the Mac and Windows operating systems.

I started to go a cheaper route when buying this product. The problem I've found is Apple just can't be compared to anything else! It's great, and I plan to get years of use out of it.

Good solution for bad superdrive. The iMac desktop native built-in Optiarc DVD player stopped recognizing DVDs and CDs.. This external drive was a quicker (but not cheaper) fix than a trip to the Apple Store to R&R the Superdrive. Main problem is that the USB cable takes up another USB port! So I have to alternate swapping the external hard drive for other peripherals, such as a usb-charger, an external usb-hard drive, a time machine, a usb-flash drive, usb-audio output, usb-midi adapter, usb-card reader, etc.. I am told there is software for watching Blu Ray DVDs on an iMac..??
