Works great with my iMac. It confused me because it doesn't show up in finder or on the desktop until you put a cd in it. Spent a lot of time trying to find it but it doesn't appear until something is in it. Other than that it works as expected.

This product is a great product, it's very easy to use, not too expensive, and worth it if you don't have a disc drive!

Bought this Superdrive for my MacBook Pro (2016) model. Had a lot of CDS that I wanted to transfer to my hard drive. Great if you want to burn to disks as well. Works very well and connects as soon you plug it in. You will need an usb-c adapter in order to use it with the new MacBook Pro models.

I opted out of purchasing the MacBook Pro and got the MacBook Pro with retina display. I rarely use the drive, but when I do it works wonderfully.

SuperDrive works great with my 2015 MacBook Pro. Just wish there was a SuperDrive with Blu-Ray comparability, but I'm not holding my breath.

Had never used external drive but found this an easy addition to use. Great for listening to CD's or burning new discs. It does make a little noise when operating which could be common with all players.

With the new Mac Books not having a superdrive anymore, this is a great addition. Plug and play. How much easier can it be? Being an Apple person, I expect to use this drive for quite a while.

I have nothing to complain about the SuperDrive. I use it for my MacBook Air and my iMac. It's quick to connect and easy to use. I've had absolutely no problems with the disc, either reading or burning.

I thought I wouldn't have much use for this, but then i got Internet Security, print driver cd, Adobe lightroom... All in disc. This product is super fast and works great!! Just plug it in and go!

Good solution for bad superdrive. The iMac desktop native built-in Optiarc DVD player stopped recognizing DVDs and CDs.. This external drive was a quicker (but not cheaper) fix than a trip to the Apple Store to R&R the Superdrive. Main problem is that the USB cable takes up another USB port! So I have to alternate swapping the external hard drive for other peripherals, such as a usb-charger, an external usb-hard drive, a time machine, a usb-flash drive, usb-audio output, usb-midi adapter, usb-card reader, etc.. I am told there is software for watching Blu Ray DVDs on an iMac..??

i was shopping for a drive for my apple lap top and the sales person led me to this product and explained how to use it. i purchased it and it worked as described. i am very happy with the purchase

It is light weight and easy to use with you MacBook being as it is thin and fits in your laptop bag it is a great product to go with your MacBook that doesn't have integrated disk drive

This Apple external USB drive works great! I use it with my Macbook Air, mostly at home to read CD-Rom discs that come with textbooks I use for school. It never gets hot and is super quiet. Great buy

simple device...does what it should...could be cheeper

Simple, fast, and easy to use. I've been transferring my CD's onto my iPod and absolutely enjoy how easy it is as I am not very technology savvy. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

Apple - SuperDrive 8x External USB Double-Layer DVD±RW/CD-RW Drive - Silver is great product it has allowed me to put software and watch movie on my apple computer.

Works as expected. It’s a nice option to keep the Laptop from being so bulky, since it not needed all the time.

DVD drives are not the sexist technology out there now. Bought this to work with my iMac. Does a great job if you still need access to CDs or DVDs. Works great to play DVD movies on the iMac.

It works great for me. I have seen a lot of bad reviews about this Superdrive, that's because you must use USBC-to USB cord to make the Superdrive work probably.
