Had a lot of CDS that I wanted to transfer to my hard drive. Great if you want to burn to disks as well. Works very well and connects as soon you plug it in. You will need an usb-c adapter in order to use it with the new MacBook Pro models.

I have yet to have a problem with it. Smooth working and very user friendly. Mac makes everything plug and play!

If you can’t have an internal drive, get this

It confused me because it doesn't show up in finder or on the desktop until you put a cd in it. Spent a lot of time trying to find it but it doesn't appear until something is in it. Other than that it works as expected.

Can't live without it!

I am a photographer and have thousands of photos on DVDs that I am constantly going back to and retrieving old images.

Perfect CD/DVD ROM drive for an iMac or MacBook Ai
