I bought this drive so I can use and burn disc. I still have many music cds this way I can load up music to my Mac.

Purchased the SuperDrive for an Apple MacBook Air. This is a great addition to any Apple computer product that does not have a built in drive. Easy to hook up and will fit in any carrying case....

I'm sad that my apple laptop did not come equipped with this feature built in but I do like the lightweight look and feel that it accomplishes. EasyPeasy to use, just plug in when needed.

Best quality external CD player and burner I have ever heard. The product is so solid in it quickness to load CDs up or burn a CD out, it's sleek and quick good build.

The drive is fast and a convenient way to watch some of my old DVDs and add music from my CD collection.

I purchased a new Mac Book and needed an external CD drive (even though its getting less and less necessary to have such a thing). The item was inexpensive and works great.

I needed a disk drive and the Macs do not include them in their hardware now, so I had to buy an external one. It works very well, though. It is a shame they removed it from their laptops.

The MacBook Air does not come with an internal optical drive. This unit fills the bill. Easy to set up, jut connect the USB cable and you're ready to go. Handles CD's and DVD's but not Blu-Ray. Also works on both the Mac and Windows operating systems.

Purchased this drive to go along with my Mac computer which I also purchased from BEST BUY in Forsyth Illinois.. I love the add on because its easy for me to use and makes my life easier..

Good product. Necessary for the IMac if you want to watch DVDs or have software on a CD. Fast and easy to use. Would recommend for anyone that uses an IMac on a regular basis.

Does with it is supposed to do! Burns CDs super quickly. Plays DVDs seamlessly. Just plug and play super quite and matches the MacBook chassis.

Apple drive obviously integrates well with Apple products. Primary reason I purchased the Apple drive despite higher cost versus peer group at lower price point. Easy device to set up and works well.

I was surprised that the Mac book Pro with Retina display did not have a CD/DVD drive built in. But this inexpensive add on with the USB connector has been great. Works very well with the laptop.

Still need to deal with physical copies of media in today’s world. This is a cheap portable, and good alternative rather than clogging up space on new desktops/laptops.

what an amazing gadget! sleek modern and everything you expect from apple! but why on earth do the new $2100 laptops not have cd disc drives to begin with? anyway, we love it and we love apple!

dont use this much, but when needed it works well. it was more than the aftermarket drives, but apple products just always seem to work well.

It's plug and play and great quality. Another superb Apple product.

The drive works very well with my MacBook Pro w retina display. The drive connects quickly and is ready to use. The read and write speed surprised me as well. As always nice product so far Apple.

Easy to use. Just plug it into a USB port, insert a cd, and you're good to go. Just wish it was built into the computer rather than not and having to buy this separately (I have an iMac)

Works as expected but you’ll need an adapter for thunderbolt only computers. Very quiet drive.
