Just purchased a new iMac -- which did not have the cd/dvd slot on the side. The Apple Superdrive works excellently and the silver tone matches the iMac stand.

Works as expected but you’ll need an adapter for thunderbolt only computers. Very quiet drive.

I got tired of getting hardware and software that requires me to load applications from a disk. bought this and it works great.

Works great...simply plug in and go without any hassles. Use primarily for burning my cd collection onto the computer.

I initially bought an LG drive, but returned it for this one when this model went on sale. This drive just worked better than the LG.

I hooked up this to my Mac computer with ease. A few extra slots for my speakers and to charge my wireless keyboard and wireless mouse. I love it.

This was way easier than I thought it would be to set up and use since I am used to the already installed drive but it was so simple and in seconds I was listening to cd's and watching dvd's.

As is typical with Apple setups; very easy. True plug in and play. iMac loaded it up immediately and I was using it 1 minute later downloading a CD.

Right out of the box after the installation was burning music and watching DVD's. Love that this an external unit that I can just unplug and put away if I don't want my desk cluttered.

This is just what I needed to compliment my new Apple computer. It fits exactly under the Apple computer stand.

It is an Apple Super Drive. It works as expected. My son has burned quite a few CDs and a couple of DVDs with it and had no problems. But then again, I didn't expect any problems.

I chose the Apple Super-Drive 8x external DVD/CD player because it was not only made for the Mac, but it has great speed, which was very important to me.

This works flawlessly with my Macbook Pro Retina. Probably cheaper brands that works just as good but I like Apple products so....

I tried to avoid having to buy this drive & tried others with limited success with my Mac. Finally broke down & bought this one & of course works great.

For a secondary product that has to be hooked up it works well. I do wish this drive was just included in the hardware of a Mac

Needed the superdrive because new iMac and other computers no longer come with internal DVD/CD rw drives. Inexpensive and a great drive. Fills the bill - just wish it was built in . . .
