I purchased this drive for an apple laptop that doesn't have an internal disk drive. It was simple to plug and play and I caught it on sell….So great purchase. I have only used it to download a cd rom, although it has the capability to do more.

If you own a Mac computer system, this external disc drive is a must have. It’s very easy to install (plug in and play). The quality is what you’d expect from Apple.

Drive works does everything I expected. Works seamlessly with my iMac. Just plug and play.

I’m sure it is good. I returned it and I have an Apple computer and would need an android adapter. This would have made the price closer to an Apple driver and an additional piece of equipment.

The drive worked exactly as promised. I had a number of old CDs with photos that I easily uploaded using this drive. No problem using.

Bought for my 2020 MacBook Pro. The quality, design and ease of use is very good so the premium price seems fair.

Just purchased a new iMac -- which did not have the cd/dvd slot on the side. The Apple Superdrive works excellently and the silver tone matches the iMac stand.

I bought this for my wife as a gift because she has many pics on DVDs/CDs. To hear her laugh while viewing them is well worth it.

Since CD/DVD drives are not built-in like they are on many PCs, I bought the external CD/DVD drive to go with an Apple 21" inch desktop. It seems to work well and is easy to install and use.

I chose the Apple Super-Drive 8x external DVD/CD player because it was not only made for the Mac, but it has great speed, which was very important to me.

I tried to avoid having to buy this drive & tried others with limited success with my Mac. Finally broke down & bought this one & of course works great.

Plugged into my computer and ran perfectly without any issues. I have read a lot of reviews that made me question this product. I purchased the product anyway and couldn't be happier!

This is my second purchase for this! Bought it for myself and my brother always asked to borrow so I bought him one also! Works perfectly for Macs that don't have a disk port

I am not very technologically oriented but I had no problem setting up and using on my first try. Thanks for keeping it user friendly

I got this drive because Apple killed the DVD in my new iMac. I use it sparingly to purn DVDs for work and to copy files off DVDs. It works great and I've had no problems

Fast and reliable. Needed it to work with research data CDs on a Mac without a drive and this did the trick.

Superdrive is a decent recorder for published music. On the other hand it acts clunky with homemade cd recordings. It's a good inexpensive solution to ripping something to a Mac although slower than the old Win Media Player style ripping though that has it's problems also. So homemade music on the Superdrive gets hung on certain tracks and sometimes will not eject. I think it's a discontinued product from Apple. There are other USB music players that are just as suitable. After I had the Superdrive for a while I found an old Asus player amongst my junk that works just fine with the Mac. It's probably cheaper too.

I bought this for as a gift for a family member that needed an external CD drive for her apple laptop. She absolutely loves it! Makes school work so much easier.

In my house we dont own DVD players and after five years with my mac air i finally needed a disk drive, and this one was great! This drive works good, looks like an apple product.

Good quality unit that worked instantly with my MacBook Pro. I used it to transfer my CD's to iTunes and it was quick and efficient. My only disappointment was the design lacks a built-in cable tidy for storage so the cable is always dangling about.
