Works great, just as all Apple products do! Love it!

Since the MacBook Air did not come with an internal CD/DVD drive I needed an alternative. This is super easy to use.

Needed the superdrive because new iMac and other computers no longer come with internal DVD/CD rw drives. Inexpensive and a great drive. Fills the bill - just wish it was built in . . .

With our iMac, this was necessary due to transfer of music from our PC to now the iMac. Works well and stores easily under computer screen.

I went ahead and bought this although everything is moving to the cloud. I still have DVD's and CD's that I need to access from time to time. This drive is fast and works great.

I originally bought the LG version trying to save a few bucks. I plugged it in and nothing happened. I ended up returning it and got the Apple,it was plug and play and I haven't looked back!!

Good quality unit that worked instantly with my MacBook Pro. I used it to transfer my CD's to iTunes and it was quick and efficient. My only disappointment was the design lacks a built-in cable tidy for storage so the cable is always dangling about.

My MacBook Air didn't have a built in SuperDrive 8x External USB Double-Layer Dvd±rw/CD-RW Drive and I wanted one to be able to burn CD's and be able to view CD's that I have.

Purchased this drive for my mother-in-law's new iMac. She wanted the option of an optical drive for watching movies, burning picture discs etc. The drive installed flawlessly, operates as expected, and matches the iMac quite nicely. The only downside that I had is that Apple doesn't have any Blu-Ray drives, but I believe that has to do with licensing issues. As this is the only device that had to be physically plugged into her iMac, the external form factor doesn't create any issues with cable clutter, as it's only a single USB cable.

The drive worked exactly as promised. I had a number of old CDs with photos that I easily uploaded using this drive. No problem using.

Works seamlessly with my MacBook so I can watch movies and import music as needed. I think I actually prefer a separate disc drive.

I rarely use disks, but when I need to, or want to watch a nonstreaming movie on my laptop, this is a terrific way to accomplish those goals without making my MacBook Air bulky 24/7.

The external drive works very well -- we travel by train and like to watch movies I could not watch movies on my Mac ProNotebook because it does not have a DVD -- so this is perfect.

I use this handy device to transfer sample CD’s onto the cloud for easy retrieval via my music apps on my devices. Works great!

Works seamlessly with my iMac. I haven’t tried the writing feature, but it plays dvds and opens cds perfectly.

Does exactly what I need it to do and it's small! I don't particularly like that you have to buy a drive for the Mac but oh well! I love Apple everything so I'll get over it.

This is a must have item since the MacBook's don't have an internal drive. If you have any reason to copy, burn, or read a disc, this is a easy to use, must have, addition.

Works perfectly with the Mac mini. No issues watching movies. Have not tried to write to it yet.

This was part of a Christmas gift that included a MAC desktop. It is very simple to set up and I've had no problems using it. Right now, I'm using it to creat photo disks.
