If you need to read a cd/dvd in any new Mac, this is an essential accessory. The Apple cd/dvd just works natively without any new software installed.

This CD drive is quite small and easy to transport ,but it does make quite a bit of noise. It reads CDs in a timely manner and completes the functions you paid for it to do.

It's plug and play and great quality. Another superb Apple product.

I bought this for my wife as a gift because she has many pics on DVDs/CDs. To hear her laugh while viewing them is well worth it.

I am not very technologically oriented but I had no problem setting up and using on my first try. Thanks for keeping it user friendly

I recently purchased a new MacBook Pro that is thinner and much lighter that my older model (9yrs) this is a better option of getting MacBook Pro with internal DVD drive.

Needed a CD/DVD drive for may MacBook Air to install an app. So far so good. Had a little difficulty figuring out which side was up but, plugged it into the USB it worked well.

I love the convienance and small storable size of this. The finish matches our laptop and is durable. We kept the box for storage and it keeps it dust free and cord organized.

Satisfied with this super drive. It does exactly what it's supposed to do. And looks great on my iMac stand. Have used about 10 times since purchase with no issues.

This was my first experience with the Super Drive. I am not tech savvy so I thought I would have to find how to use it. I did not have to do anything complicated, just plug and go.

This external drive connected very easily to my Apple laptop, and worked seamlessly. I would highly recommend this for any Apple users.

I used this on my Macbook Air, original one (still working) and while I am not happy that Apple took the CDs out, this one does the job nicely.

Superdrive is a decent recorder for published music. On the other hand it acts clunky with homemade cd recordings. It's a good inexpensive solution to ripping something to a Mac although slower than the old Win Media Player style ripping though that has it's problems also. So homemade music on the Superdrive gets hung on certain tracks and sometimes will not eject. I think it's a discontinued product from Apple. There are other USB music players that are just as suitable. After I had the Superdrive for a while I found an old Asus player amongst my junk that works just fine with the Mac. It's probably cheaper too.

Simplest install, plug it in and it works. My old MCSE windows days, drivers, conflicts, pay extra for OS upgrades - are now a distant and fading memory!!! Apple is THE BEST.

A must if you want to watch DVD’s since that feature is no longer available. Just plug it in the back of your computer and there you have it!

Does exactly what I need it to do. But why did Apple make it necessary to get an external drive?

Bought it to burn CDs and DVDs with my new MacBOOK PRO. It runs very quiet and faster than I thought it would. Very pleased with the purchase at a good sale price!

I purchased this drive to supplement my new Imac. I am now able to download cds and dvds as well as listen to music. This drive is very user friendly and easy to setup.
