Compared to other monitors that use 1440 resolution, this display is the ultimate docking station. It's practically an iMac without the computer. Seriously, google photos of it's guts and you'll be impressed how detailed even the innards are. Well worth the price (as of now...in a few years 4k and 8k monitors will be all the rage).

I bought this in December of 13 from BB. It sat on my desk, with some occasional light use. Yesterday it broke. Needs a new logic board. This monitor is a total waste of money. The quality is lacking and Apple's customer service is terrible. They might be good if you don't know how to install an app or someone stupid like that...but they definitely do not stand behind their products. The fact that something like a logic board went out so fast on this monitor is beyond alarming. It was obviously a faulty part. Read up on USB not working on these and you will see a pattern. But Apple refuses to acknowledge their product has some issues. My business is no longer going to buy Apple monitors. We have 6 of these and two of them now broke. Tread carefully with this product.

I use this with a Macbook Air and it is a fantastic combination. The screen is so sharp and the area is great for working with multiple windows.

I purchased this as a previously opened item which was a great buy. Timing is everything, this one just happen to be available when I was looking to make the purchase.

i love my screen with all of my heart! It has made my work so easy, in comparison to the lower res 15" screen on my Macbook pro.. The Thunderbolt Display has become an indispensable tool in my office! If I had the money I would definitely by another for Dual/Tri setup!

Monitor is great for revising pictures, viewing videos and huge display while surfing the net. If you're stuck at 22" monitor, then upgrade now for best viewing!

Mid 2012 MacBook Pro retina with 8GB RAM and 500GB SSD. OSX 10.10.2 * My Mac reboots at least once a week while plugged in to this monitor. This is a killer if you're in the middle of an important project. * My Mac will freeze completely prompting a hold the power switch hard reset. *The display options panel of the settings app freezes often and the brightness keys do nothing. *If you plug the Apple usb keyboard in to the USB jacks on the back of the display it will silently stop functioning. I've spent hours on the phone with the Apple Care team done the PRAM and SMC resets a dozen times now. I wish I hadn't spent $1000 on an obviously poor piece of hardware.

I love the picture quality my computer screen has.

Great resolution. Easy set up. Mirrors my mac really well as expected. Another feat by Apple. Don't like glossy surface but knew about it b4 purchase. Bit too pricey.

The Thunderbolt display has been very well received by our users. We're sorry to hear Apple is discontinuing this display.

its a little pricy - but the Best Buy Financing you can't go wrong!

I got this along with my Mac Mini. Love it! I just wish it wasn't 999$!

If you have a MacBook that does not have the bolt on the port do not buy the display, chances are it will not work and you will upgrade you OS and it still will not work! First time I ever had a Mac product that did not fire right up!

the only reason that i give it ONE star is because i never got to see it work!! To my chagrin, upon purchasing THE LATEST BRAND NEW HIGH POWER MAC PRO and THE THUNDERBOLT display, i have to find out after about 45 min of trying to figure why the screen wont turn on, that the two arent compatible. APPLE and BEST BUY should clearly state this!!! you would think that purchasing the latest mac pro, it would have been compatible!!

This is really a great monitor, but I was not told when I purchased it that it could not be used with old Mac models.

The item description should be : Apple® Thunderbolt 27" Widescreen LED Monitor (Not compatible with all Apple Products)......... Best Buy needs to let customers know more about what they are buying.
