Better remote layout but worse range vs Gen1

Only 1 drawback over the 1st generation and it is the remote range. Volume up and Down for some reason only work within like 10 feet of the TV,

Unless you buy that device, you pay for it every two years in the rental charge. The purchase price for this makes it worthwhile to buy it rather than rent the Charter unit. The drawback is that it has a different interface than the Charter device so you need to learn another User Interface and it is totally different from you normal TV remote!
