Has hdmi 2.1 but can only do 4k/60 so it's rather a marketing hype than actually functional. No reason to spend the money unless in apple ecosystem already with latest phones and whatnot.

save your money and get previous model

Its the same exact thing, I noticed no difference whatsoever. I have the latest 4K tv and use 8k hdmi wires. This is no step up, save your money and buy the older one. Not saying anything bad about apple, Im just trying to save you some money, because the fact is, this item is the same thing, same exact thing.

Typical Apple

To their credit, their business plan is perfect. Sell a product that will NEED to be replaced after a short period of time. That said, the product does to what it intendeds to do: stream content. It’s worth the purchase as long as you know you will need to replace after two years. Happy buying!
