Was a bit tough to navigate the remote compared to other platforms.

Make sure to have a high speed hdmi cable. It seemed like it was broken, bit a new cable fixed it.

Everything still the same they remote is awesome though

The new Apple TV has some technically issues. Like a white line on the bottom of the screen when you watch on it and sometimes it starts blinking black and white and it shuts off. Thought it was my TV. I tried other apps to watch shows and it does not do it. Apple needs to do some type of update to the system to fix these issues.

Bought this to access Discovery+ and Fox Nation but still have difficulty using it

Apple products are known for quality and high customer satisfaction. The Apple TV 4K is horrible. I was considering it as an upgrade from the Android TV software that comes with my smart TV, oh boy was I wrong. Audio just cut out in the middle of the playback, and it happens like 1 out of 5 movie playbacks. It also doesn't output non-Atmos 5.1 Dolby audio, only 2-channel PCM or it has to be Dolby Atmos. Many apps on my Android TV, such as HBO Max and Amazon Prime Video, plays Atmos audio just fine, but somehow they can't do it on Apple TV so it falls back to stereo. The only good bit about this product is that the UI does look quite pretty. Beneath the pretty UI it is riddled with bugs and sometimes feels utterly unusable given the fact that there are 50-dollar streaming sticks out there that are way more reliable.

Paying $150.00 more for this Apple device than my ROKU 4K stick I expected more but got less. ie I get the Apple app on ROKU but cant get the ROKU channel on Apple device. Apple's list of top 10 "free" has only 1 free -- YouTube, all the others are pay apps, ie Disney+, HBO max etc. The remote is metal, uncomfortable, and very small. The good sized enter button is located inside a tiny navigation ring and it's swiping ability is overly sensitive. I eventually learned the swipe can be turned off and set to click. The remote is rechargeable, a plus. Worst is Apple device gobbles up enormous amounts of broadband . I tested an identical program that was 1080HD, 1hr49min in length, a 1/3 of a gig to download to iPad, 4g to stream on ROKU, 7g on the Apple People with unlimited funds and unlimited internet data might be ok with this but I would not recommend this to a friend.
