Customers are saying

Customers are impressed with the new remote, ease of use, and picture quality of the TV 4K 32GB (2nd Generation). Many also praised the improved interface and streaming capabilities, while some noted the high price as a potential drawback. A few users mentioned storage limitations, though this was less frequently cited than positive feedback. Overall, the positive aspects of the product significantly outweigh the negative.

First ,when purchased, was told that the entire system was voice activated. Can't use for spectrum though. Second, scrolling with the guide is a pain and very time consuming for various reasons. Third, got only a verbal explanation from the tech, but left no instructs from Apple.

This thing is nothing but a piece of freaking junk I've had to unplug it and reboot it this was probably the sixth time since I bought it a month ago the volume control stops working in fact as I'm writing this review it's unplugged and I had to do it because the volume control again stop working it's a piece of crap And there's been numerous other issues with this it just isn't freaking worth of money not my opinion. I thought I was going to be able to return it but I see its outside my return window that sucks. I would not buy this again!! I should've bought the Roku I've had it for years and love it I do not like this at all.

If you want to take advantage of some of the newer Apple arcade games you will need at least this model. I stepped up from the model with the older remote and I am happy! Don’t notice a huge difference in performance (things move a little quicker), but the experience with Apple TV has always been better than any other streamer for me. I really like that it has the ability to handle newer arcade games like Disney Dreamlight Valley…paired with a PS4 controller this makes for a great gaming device (especially for kids!)

Couldn’t get tge hang his to use this. Went back to the Roku. Of all the apple products that I have, this one is disappointing and doesn’t meet expectations. I thought I could use my iPhone to connect to tv.

The volume button stopped working. I had to reset. The power button stopped working with ARC support to turn on the TV. Pathetic product. Overall navigation seemed so poor.

    "Refurbished by Geek Squad"

"Condition: Excellent," except it's not. For a device which is supposed to just sit on some surface undisturbed, there are rub / scratches / chafing marks on every side... Double you tee eff, m8? What exactly needs to be refurbished? You clearly didn't refurbish it, because it's "worn" on all sides. There's literally nothing to refurbish, because there are no moving parts. But, the casing is chafed on all sides as if someone threw it around and remote control is dirty. Fingerprints all over everything. Should I return it.

It cuts off and shuts down the TV. Unfortunately I have to this dumb box to get the cable app, as my LG tv doesn’t support it or vice versa. Sucks. I should’ve gotten Roku.

My main reason for the poor review is that the remote is simply unusable. Ask anyone that has one, not a chance it hasn’t been smashed into a million pieces because Apple tried to be cute and make all the buttons touch sensitive rather than an actual click making it nearly impossible to control your inputs. Take $200 and light it on fire before you purchase this. The user interface is also terrible, extreme cluttered and useless.

There really isn't anything special about this. Not worth the extra cost. Just stay with your normal cable box. The remote only recognizes station names, not numbers.

    Quality Apple product. Smart Calibration

Great product. Much better interface for your TV than what is offered with Samsung TV's Tizen... Control: HomeKit allows you to control the entire TV ecosystem if it is connected to the Apple TV. You can ask Siri to resume shows or movies where you left off. Current setup: Samsung QLED, Bose 700+Base Module. Apple TV makes calibrating the picture and sounds all your iPhone paired with the Apple TV. You get more accurate picture colors without having to manually calibrate your TV as suggested by rtings.com (which is very helpful). You do not have to worry about the sound not matching the video as this is all done during the initial setup of your Apple TV. Additionally, all you will need is the Apple TV remote as it will turn everything off (and so will Siri if you as her as well). If you do change TV inputs, you will still need that remote to do so.

Remote is defective out of the box - half of the power button is permanently depressed, so when you press the power button, it stays stuck and doesn't release until you smack the remote against your hand. Furthermore there's no HDMI cable included in the box - a bit of a shocker when every other competitor includes one. On the other hand, as an Apple user, I'm already conditioned to being treated like garbage.

This is the second AppleTV I've owned. I loved the first one which I purchased 10 years ago. I needed to upgrade with this one in order to download more apps. This product requires me to unplug and reset it everyday at least once and sometimes more. It only started doing that after my return date had expired. I purchased two of these on 9/30/21. The other one works fine.
