The king of streamers. I’ve tried them all! I’ve had the Nvidia Shield Pro twice, and have returned it twice. The Apple TV is easier to use, has a much nicer UI, nicer remote, and the streaming quality is right up there with the Shield Pro. Only complaint is the limited audio formats it supports.

Nice upgrade from the Gen 3 Apple TV. The updated remote is a welcome change.

As a die-hard Roku fan, I was reluctant to change streaming ecosystems but my aging Premier + (top box of its time) was starting to slow down. Taking longer to launch/exit apps began to take its toll as movie nights involved looking for a movie, then half the time having to launch YouTube to get a decent trailer, then relaunching the streaming app. I looked into the Roku Ultra but it seemed more of an incremental improvement over my old box than a leap forward. After watching/reading countless reviews, it seemed the Apple TV 4K with the A12 Bionic SOC was by far the fastest. While I haven't tried any of the others, this is light years faster than my Roku, allowing me to quick swap apps and using Siri is a breeze. An extra bonus is that it pairs beautifully with my iPhone, but even if you're on Android, I'd still recommend checking this one out. It's solved my 1st world problem and makes streaming fun again.

Great interface speedy, easy to get around. The remote should've had the find my remote feature like a air tag built-in tho. Get this over the new 3rd gen for a better deal in price they do the same things.

My first Apple TV 4K for my 4K television. Amazing how much faster this one is over the Apple TV HD. Picture and movies are sharper and clearer. Makes the binge watching and movie nights much more enjoyable. Especially since I haven’t returned to the movies yet. Games are much faster also along with photo, podcast and music streaming.

Great upgrade from the Apple TV HD (3rd gen). Was like night and day.

The Apple TV may seem excessive considering most people already have smart TVs. In fact, that's why I held off for so long before getting one. But after having one, I can't stress enough how great the experience is. My Sony X900E stopped receiving updates a while ago so the experience I have now is what I'm left with. No new updates for atmos or dolby vision will come to it, nor the apps on it. I bought the new Samsung QN85A, which is one of the newest higher end TVs, and the streaming on that is absolutely sub-par. It cuts out all the time and would often require you to re-log in to your accounts. Now that the stage has been set, the Apple TV hasn't skipped a beat. It's quick, snappy, pulls up your content in a jiffy, and is one of the few streaming boxes to fully support Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision. The price tag may be a pill to swallow, but if you ever find it on sale I highly recommend it. It is a solid improvement over the standard streaming offered by a Smart TV.

Purchased Apple TV to replace a different streaming device that was starting to have issues. Very easy to use and I like that my IPhone can also be used as a remote. It also controls my sound bars volume which or other devices remote would not. A little more expensive but worth the price!!!

Nice new update to the already Apple TV design. New processor add a little more speed to the GUI. New is an ability to color calibrate the TV while using the Apple TV. The biggest and most important reason to upgrade is the remote, by far the best reason to upgrade, an must upgrade for those who dislike the last gen remote.

Easy to set up and tracks same ability to load and play streaming services as prior model. However, it does facilitate great 4K picture quality and good audio. The new remote is nice, but I thought the older remote was fine. I needed an Apple TV and bought the newest model because it was only $30 more then prior version.

Best way to stream especially if you already have any apple devices. I also use mine as a HomeKit hub for my apple smart home. Works great every time not to mention streaming my Spectrum subscription eliminating the need for a cable box. 4k content looks great and I have one on all tvs in my home.
