I purchased this to stream Spectrum on my Sony TV (Spectrum is not available as an app with Sony). It works perfectly, and is mounted on the back side of my tv. The remote does not need to be aimed at the unit which is helpful if you are mounting it in an out of sight spot.

Love this device, its all i need for best picture/sound and all apps in one place. I had the previous model and there isn’t much difference but it does run noticeably smoother! Highly recommend if you only stream and don’t have cable like I do

The AppleTV itself is marginally nicer than the old ones (I replaced an AppleTV HD) - but the new remote is a HUGE improvement! I would have just bought a new remote, but it was a good excuse to do a hand-me-down of the HD to my parents, so I did! Now everyone is very happy...

We’ve had a few glitches here and there. But the screensavers are amazing! Also the Os can’t be beat especially if you’re in the Apple ecosystem already.

Overall great product. Comparing this aTV with the one from 2016, it is amazingly faster, from startup to playing videos and movies, not to mention the quality of it. I welcome streamers over smart TVs anytime, as there is really no comparison in performance. Now, the bad. I see there are many blogs and reddit posts having issues with sound just like me, and supposedly apple is aware of it, and hopefully will be fixed soon. Crackling sound after X amount of time, which supposedly started back in May and should be fixed really soon.

I cannot believe mynild one only last a few years and stopped working. Had no choicr but to buy another one. Don't used my name or email when posting.

Nice upgrade got it on sale. Was actually in the market for the new remote but after seeing the cost of the remote and just getting a newer 4K it was a no-brainer also comes with a charger cable new one doesn’t.

Works great as a streaming device but is expensive. One reason I bought it was for the ability to have the spectrum app and dedicated spectrum remote which works great having a dedicated guide and channel up down.

This Apple TV is great. There is really just one feature that it lacks that would have made it outstanding for me and that is the ability to switch HDMI inputs on the tv. If it had this feature, then the remote would truly be universal and I wouldn't need to use a second remote with my tv. I hope they implement this feature in the next model of the Apple TV, whenever it comes out. Other than that, everything about it is great. It is fast and responsive, great apps. No complaints really.

I have used all types of streaming boxes. I haven’t had any that is as smooth or as fast responding. I have had all the other main brand streaming boxes. I would definitely recommend Apple TV over all of them for your main tv.

A great buy. Apple TV offers some great series and movies. I saw my daughter's apple TV programs during a visit and was sold. Best Buy can send you everything you need to get the programing started. Simple to set up, but with great return policy at Best Buy.

Not much of difference from the prior version. The UI is slightly changed. I don’t notice much of speed difference between this one and the last iteration despite the better processor. I do like the remote a bit more than the last model.

Upgraded from 2018 standard Apple TV for my new Sony 4k tv. Streaming looks way better than what I was used to. Highly recommend upgrading from any streaming device that only broadcast in 1080p. New remote is much better than previous versions as well.

The Apple TV 4K is extremely responsive and I love the remote control. The software doesnt come with bloatware that slows it down and it runs all of my streaming apps super smooth. Highly recommend this product!

Apple wins again. It is a quality product that gives me ease of control over my tv access and I like it. Adding apps is easier than ever before. The Apple TV package that includes music is a value added for our family as a result of the Family Sharing features.

Really responsive and honestly I think it's worth it even if you have a newer TV that has good built-in apps. This seems to crash or stutter less. The remote is nicer than the prior one for sure and it's very easy to use.

Apple TV is one of the best streaming devices. Takes a little bit of a learning curve to get everything to work correctly, but it pairs nicely with my Sony TV. Turns the TV on and controls the sound bar all from the apple remote.
