Slick and responsive UI, great quality apps, no ads, no other annoying trapping that come with other devices like Roku for Firesticks

Hooked it up on my Sony XR A80K. The Apple TV is better than the Google TV Apps. More Dolby Vision and more Dolby Atmos for my Bose 900 w/ 700 base module and 700 rear speakers. I was hesitant at first but after reading many Reddit articles and speaking with the Best Buy salesman who sold the TV to me, i had to try it and I’m very pleased with the outcome

The best way to watch TV. Sleek interface. Reliable. Great app support. No adds on homepage. Best remote ever made (not perfect though).

I've had a first gen 4K for a while. Got a 2nd gen one so I could have one on each TV in the house. It's basically the same from a user experience perspective, except that they created an amazing new design for the remote. Much more intuitive, can operate easily in the dark / no accidental upside down operation. Dedicated mute and power buttons are great. Adding a D-pad is great. Being able to disable swiping is great. It's more expensive at first, but you don't get spammed with ads vs. some other streamers or build-in smart TV operating systems. The other guys can charge less for their hardware because advertisers are paying them a few bucks a month to spam your living room with ads, scary thumbnails for horror movies to scare kids (LG webOS 6), and other distractions. I'd rather pay a bit extra to have a bit of dignity and privacy in my living room.

Faster with better remote than prior version. Noticeably faster than prior version when loading apps. Navigation is quicker and easier with the newly designed remote control. Setup was quick, simple and easy. Just held my phone near the top of the box and done!

Although these are a lot more expensive than fire stick especially when they are like $25, they are a lot faster far as starting/loading. If you’re already in Apple ecosystem then you would appreciate this even better. I like I can pair my AirPods to it and watch TV quietly. Catch them on sale even better.

I have AppleTVs throughout my house. I really like this version (as opposed to the earlier ones) as it is possible to install apps which provide tremendous flexibility for the unit. The new remote control is also a nice upgrade compared to the previous version (which I was always picking up upside-down). Great picture quality and I can also connect it to my HomePods for much better audio than my television speakers can muster. There is no DVR feature, but I still like it better than my old cable box (that my cable company used to charge me a monthly fee for). I also like the occasional OS updates from Apple that keeps the unit up-to-date and provides some new features every so often (including some that integrate well with the other Apple devices I have in the house, like being able to use my phone as a remote control from across the house).

Great value easy to use and Apple TV has great shows without commercials no your regular TV. This brand of TV watching is a level up plus you’ll be able to do work from home without guilt fast downloads and uploads. Easy install. You’ll be glad you leveled up

Great purchase for use on non smart Tv. It allows you to stream content from all the streaming services you subscribe to. Easy to set up and the controller is improved over the previous models. It also streams your content as 4k.

Great streaming option if you're in the Apple Ecosystem or not. Yes, there are less expensive 4k streaming options out there but this box is excellent. And if you're in the Apple Ecosystem, this should be an easy decision for you. It supports AppleTV+ and all of the new Apple Music formats.

This is another great Apple device. It was easy to set up on my smart tv. It was a little confusing using along with my smart tv and cable. I have to have 3 remotes, I was able to pair down to 2 eventually. Looks good on stand.

I have the previous 4k model for the living room. Decided to get one for bedroom. Apple TV is the best compare to other products. Runs fast and smooth. New controller is an upgrade from previous model. Won’t be disappointed especially if you have or familiar with other Apple products.

I’ve used all kinds of streaming devices but Apple TV has always been my go-to box. It’s easy to manage and everything looks fantastic in 4k! The remote is such an improvement over the original that I don’t think I could ever go back. Highly recommended!

When we cut the cord from cable and went to streaming services, this was a god-send. It's easy to understand and use. The only complaint I would have is that the tumbwheel on the remote is very sensitive. You have to get used to how much pressure you need to fast forward, pause, and play.

I bought this for my husband's birthday because he loves tech stuff like this. He loved it. Set it up immediately. Hasn't stopped going on about the quality of picture and the ease of using the apps. I like the user friendly interface. I recommend.

Like every Apple product, the setup was very simple. It even detected my tv has HDR and set it up to utilize this feature and the picture is incredible. It did take me awhile to find the App Store to download apps since the Menu titles were limited. I later realized the remote has a voice recognition so I used that to find the App Store. I bought two of these and once you set them both up, they talk to each other so if you download an app on one, it will be available on the other one as well. I've only had this thing for 3 weeks so I don't have anything negative to say about it. There is no operating manual to tell you how to use/install/etc. and only discovered this by accident but the remote is rechargeable and they do provide the cable.

The new controller is fantastic. The Apple TV itself has a nice bump in performance from the previous apple tv and does a good job handling range of resolutions and frame rates and outputting them to match the source or the display as preferred by the user. The only thing to keep in mind when buying an Apple TV is things like emulators. While Plex is available for iOS it's always been troublesome. I would buy this streaming box for use with the Apple eco system and streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, Prime, HBO Now, Disney+, etc. For things like Retroarch, Plex and Kodi I would suggest a Android based streamer instead like the NVidia shield or Amazon Fire TV Cube. Also the Shield handles upscaling content better but this Apple TV is way better at handling framerates for content.

I’ve owned every iteration on Apple TV, and I have to say that this one is a much needed refresh. Obviously the design of the box itself is unchanged, but the new remote is a welcomed change. It has more heft and it’s less slippery to the touch. The buttons have a nice click to them. I took 1 star because of said remote. Since it is the first change, the buttons do need some work. They feel as if they get stuck at times, and it’s easy to press the outer ring when pressing the center button. Overall though, it’s good upgrade to the previous generation.

Apple TV has changed the game !! I didn’t think I needed one because I have smart TVs but the Apple TV is awesome! Love the remote, love the ecosystem with my iPhone and MacBooks. Soooo worth it
