Takes some getting used to, but the best
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. To be honest, I got frustrated when I first started using it. It takes some getting used to, but I promise, it's worth it when you watch your favorite movies in 4K! Remote is super useful; you just charge it. I've used it every day for about a week, and I haven't had to recharge it. If I watch a show on my phone, it picks up where I left off on Apple TV. Best if you love your Apple!

Great product!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just like the previous Apple TV, this is a solid product. Great UI, stable and easy to use. I got this as a fathers day present. I Upgraded my theater room with a 7.2.2 system (Dolby Atmos) the problem is that the PS4 that I use to watch movies and stream does not have Dolby Atmos when streaming. The Apple TV 4K can do 4K, Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision (HDR). I'm waiting for my 4K TV to arrive so I have yet to watch 4K on it, however Dolby Atmos sounds amazing. I am Very happy with this product. I you don't have a smart TV or the interface on your Smart TV sucks, then do yourself a favor and get an Apple TV 4K. If you don't have Apple products consider one of the other options such as Roku, Firestick, etc. they might be cheaper but I don't know if they are as solid as this one.

Immediately Indispensable
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As part of my new "cut the cord" strategy, I did a ton of research. Was deciding among Apple TV, the Roku box and Google's stick. I already was tilting toward the Apple (despite the higher price) because we are iPhone, iPad and Mac owners. But what really sealed the deal was the remote and typically elegant Apple UI! I love my Apple TV and am extremely pleased with this purchase.

Good so far
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A must if you want to “cast” your iPhone or Mac computer content to any tv. Takes a little bit of time to get used to the remote gestures, but easy to use once you figure them out. Way better than using the apps that come with my tv (too slow to load). Video quality is great and crisp without freezing. It is a little bit more expensive than other options out there (Roku).

Best resolution experience of 4 streaming devices
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Over time, I purchased the following streaming devices in the following order: first a Fire TV stick, then a Roku, Ultra Roku, and now the Apple TV. Of all of the devices, the Apple TV has enabled me to enjoy the best picture that my LG OLED TV is capable when shows are available in 4K Dolby Vision. Also love the simple capability of mirroring my iPhone to my TV’s big screen. The remote took a bit of getting used to. It’s almost too small and too smooth. I may get a sleeve for it eventually. Remote functionality is also capable from an Apple TV app on my phone, as well as the LG TV remote. The Apple TV is pricey, but a must have for a TV with an OLED display. I purchased mine as a refurb. No issues to date.

Great upgrade to Apple TV 4K
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was using an older "hand me down" Apple TV unit for the last few years and was regularly interrupted with buffering or I would simply be cut off from streaming during a movie while the unit reset itself. I'm VERY happy with the upgrade to this unit. I like the ease with which I can move around the menus with the trackpad. I do not have voice activation set up, but I like being able to search and enter passwords with my iPhone. My only complaint is how slippery the remote is (I've dropped it a couple times already). I will be getting a case for the remote to solve that issue soon. Best Buy's delivery was on schedule, perhaps a day earlier than expected.

Great for Apple users, not so much for others.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the Apple TV. I like to use the up next feature on my phone and my other devices, and was excited to learn that it connected with the Apple TV box. This is one of the main reasons I purchased this box. I like how it gives the user control over their streaming, for example I can put up multiple streams on ESPN at the same time. I can't do this with my Roku. I also love using the Homepods (OG's) with the TV Box. It is truly better than most sound bars. Only down side is the whole Apple Eco System. So if you are invested in Apple, it really is an investment, then you will love this. If you are not, i would not recommend.

Excellent picture quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ditched the cable and upgraded our Apple TV to this 4K 32 Gb.. absolutely loved the quality of the picture... although the WiFi antenna doesn’t seem as strong as our older one. We have 2 and one is in our basement, the old one received a better signal. Do love the new remote and that you can speak into the built in microphone, and it’s a track pad of sorts too! Overall, very pleased!

Nice addition to my other Apple Products
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works great in my Apple ecosystem. Not sure I would have gotten it or I would get as much use out of it if I didn’t have other complementary Apple products - was actually the gateway to getting the HomePod minis (although they don’t work with the Apple TV like the original HomePod does) I read someone’s fairly negative review which included the sensitivity of the remote, which was absolutely spot on. However, after a quick google search, I adjust the sensitivity in settings and bingo. My only negative is the price. I’ve dropped a Small fortune on Apple stuff and work with it on a daily basis. There is usually a feeling of satisfaction with the product despite the price. This didn’t quite hit that mark for me, even though I use it all the time. I’m still not a huge fan of the Apple TV subscription. Guess I’m till trying to figure out the point, so maybe if I learned more about it, I’d find it worthwhile. All in all, once I came to terms that Apple develops stuff to work perfectly with Apple stuff so the end user experience is fantastic, I began to stick with Apple. I guess that’s the point, but they get it right way more often then wrong, so for the time being, I’m ok with it.

Quick, Easy to Use, Doesn't Lag
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would recommend this over the Samsung Chromecast. This is fast, never lags, and always easy to use. Simple is sometimes better. The 4K really comes in handy if you have a 4K TV too. I watch 4K movies on Netflix with this.

Solid product from Apple
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been losing my appreciation for Apple products over the years due to how they limit users from everything computers can do, but Apple shines when it just makes simple products that do exactly what they’re supposed to do. The Dolby Atmos, the picture, this is my go to device to watch my movie collections and streaming apps and it makes for a higher quality experience than using my laptop. And the interface is gorgeous, although tiles could be scalable to make smaller so more is in screen space. And a web browser app would make this device 5 stars. But years of ownership let me know I’ll be using this still a decade from now. Apple does a lot wrong, but build quality is not one.

Apple TV 4k

So many great features! Remote's not one of them
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love nearly everything about this product. The 4k streaming has never looked better, and I can finally get dolby vision on some of the apps/shows I watch. Having a MacBook and iPhone made this even more enjoyable. I can now use airplay to extend or mirror my desktop to my 65" tv, adding a lot of flexibility and fun for FaceTime and zoom or simply sharing photos with guests. The remote control seemed cool at first with the touchpad and swiping functionality, but as time went on it became finicky and annoying. After a few weeks of using, I've decided to pair one of PS4 controllers (yes, you can do this. Same with Xbox) to the Apple TV and use that as my remote. The directional buttons make it easier to navigate and I may check out the Apple TV games soon. I also own Rokus and Amazon fire sticks, and this blows them out of the water in terms of performance. The price tag is much higher, but I'd recommend this hands down for your primary tv. Leave the rokus and other cheap devices in your guest rooms. :)

A must for 4k going forward
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We already had a last-gen Apple TV (non-4k) and loved it. But when we bought a 4k OLED 55" TV on Black Friday, we decided to upgrade our streaming devices as well. The biggest pro is that Apple will upgrade all of your iTunes purchased movies to 4K for free. The biggest con is that not a lot of media providers are streaming 4K yet. But we're ready when they do.
