Upgraded from the second gen to the new 4K (5th gen) and we couldn’t be more pleased! Apple made every improvement that we have been desiring for years! Works seamlessly with Hulu live so Directv is now a thing of the past and we are putting the extra $200 a month to much better use!!

Awesome! Love it! Great investment to rent movies, own a digital library and great for streaming all my apps.

We are so happy with this purchase. Very easy to setup, easy to use, long battery life on the remote and uses same charging cable as our phones when it needs to be recharged. The Sling free 30 days promo was nice to test out entertainment without a cable box contract. We ended up disconnecting after only the first week! Only sort of negative comment- the remote is too small. We went from a huge cable provider remote to the tiny Apple TV remote. Keep loosing it to the cushions and the blanket. Nevertheless, if all searches fail, we use the remote app on our Apple phones.

Great interface and quick processor makes for a smooth experience like all Apple products. kind of expensive for a streaming device.

I watch my movies on this device, it does perform wonders. I bought this and a NVIDIA Shield, and the Apple TV is the one that gets the honor of powering my theater screen. But much like every apple product I've bought, it's too expensive. You may counter and say, well you gave this the prime location over other options, so it is the best, and you must pay more for the best. I would have to agree with your statement at that point, but the incredibly high price point of this product leaves me confused. It works well and I like it, but I feel I paid too much for it. (not Best Buy's fault, it was the same price everywhere). I hope this helps you find your way on your product quest, I know buying Apple products can be confusing, because some say they are the best, but they cost too much. In my case, I'm keeping it, and enjoying it thoroughly, and as long as I don't think about it too much now that the money is already gone, I'll be happy with my purchase.

I purchased this recently after being a longtime Roku Ultra fan. Both the streaming box and remote feel sleek and solid. I like that the remote is charged via a lightning cable, so there is no need to periodically toss a couple of batteries and buy new ones. The Apple interface is not much different from all of the other top-tier streamers. It's both elegant, smooth, and easy to use. I connected it to a 4K TV and the picture is bright and crisp. I am really impressed with Apple's streaming product.

My lg 4K smart tv used to buffer before playing some online videos, but this 4K Apple TV resolved it. Videos play flawlessly on Apple TV even though I am connected to WiFi Happy with the purchase Also I can use the remote app on my iPhone to type in on tv for video searching

This thing is super fast. The 4K really pops and I love using home sharing & AirPlay. Get this if you love simplicity and easy use for new users.

The best streaming device available for purchase! I have them all, Roku, Firestick 4K, Nvidia Shield... and AppleTV 4K beats them all. As an “Android Enthusiast” I was always in denial about about AppleTV being better than the Nvidia Shield (Android’s Flagship streaming device) until I decided to pull the trigger and actually try it out. I don’t want to turn this into a comparison review, so let me just give my review on the AppleTV 4K. Easy to use right out of the box (it does not come with an HDMI cord), plug it in, log in, and you are ready to use. It supports Dolby Vision, HDR, Dolby Atmos sound and a countless amount of apps. Very user friendly and easy to use. The integrated tabs are awesome: Watch Now: pick up a show or movie where you left off, regardless of the app it was being streamed on TV+: watch apple originals (with a subscription, of course) Movies: movies to buy/rent from the Apple store TV: same as above Sports: watch whatever may be on at the given time. You can also select your favorite professional sports teams and get notifications about their games. Also, if your wife is hogging the remote and she decides to watch a romantic comedy, there are “close game” notifications that will appear that you can click on that will pause the movie/show and take you directly to the game (I think this is a very cool feature). Also, you can choose to display or not display scores in the tab to avoid spoilers. AppleTV also supports Apple Arcade, I have not tried it, so I don’t know how great, or bad it is. I do know you can connect an xbox controller for gameplay, which is cool. AirPlay and connectivity is easy to use, you don’t even have to be on the same WiFi network, which is very convenient. Another great feature is the ability to sign in with your cable/satellite provider and enable a “one-click” sign on kind of method so you don’t have to keep putting in your password for multiple apps. Awesome Device!!!

We've had it for a few month and everything works great. We cut our cable and just run a few apps normally. Easy hook up as well. Overall great quality and easy to use.

After trying all the smart devices(Roku, Fire TV, Chromecast, etc.) I finally tried this because: 1) I wanted to get Dolby Atmos Audio and 2) All the others I tried lacked in performance in some way. So far it’s one of the only streaming devices that produces Dolby Atmos let alone the response time, the quality, and ease of access in between apps is what you’d expect from Apple. It’s more money because it’s a device that adds to as well as. ELEVATES my experience. The fact I have an iPhone and AirPods to work easily with it just wraps it up with a bow. Love this device!

Got this on a whim while at Best Buy and can’t say enough. Love the new Apple TV, the picture is great, the remote is amazing, and all the apps work well. The Siri remote is so nice and charges no more batteries. The charge can last more then a week and charges super fast.

Upgraded to this model from the previous generation. The new features include voice functions, that really save time from having to type everything out. Also, the volume control on the remote is a nice addition. The user interface is still mostly the same, but don't fix it if its not broke. Disney + is available, which was another reason we upgraded to this model. The only downside is it is pricey for a streaming device. With all the integration with other apple products, it was a must for our household.

This product is so simple to setup, use, and navigate. I have never had it buffer, but I also have a wired internet connection for it so I can not speak on behalf of the wifi connection. If you have another apple product, it instantly syncs to that so you don't have to sign in and makes the setup process so simple. The Siri on the remote is what I was most skeptical about, but works surprisingly amazing. I use it every day and it has never misunderstood me. The picture quality is beautiful and have not ever seen the quality fluctuate. This thing is great! I highly recommend

Upgraded from a Gen 3 Apple TV because I wanted to control it from my iPhone and download apps. (Considering SlingTV). Installation was fairly straightforward, except I could not get the picture to come up until I pressed the TV icon on the remote. This was not intuitively obvious. Now I can watch Amazon Prime movies without having to cast them from my phone or computer. Only the 32 GB version was available, but this doesn't seem to be an issue yet even after downloading several apps.

Picked this up to match with a new 4k television as the wife prefers Apple TV over Roku, and the old one now resides in the bedroom. Like the 4k Dolby vision, speed of the unit, tvOS and it's a real streaming champ. Only one real problem area: Remote might be a *slight* improvement over the previous version, but I do emphasize slight. That's really the only area the Apple TV is and always has been let down. It's still quite usable, though. And hey, the iPhone makes an even nicer remote, so...

I love my Apple TV. I think the interface is well designed and easy to navigate. The sound and image quality are immaculate. I like that it is small enough to easily transport. I appreciate that it has the ethernet plug in for speedy streaming. Casting and streaming from other devices is excellent, being able to use your phone as a tv remote when you can't find yours is great too. My only thing is that the remote is small and easy to lose.

I absolutely love this Apple TV. The operating software, along with the hardware, is so modern and sleek looking. The remote has a very nice trackpad on it making scrolling a breeze. I was able to download all my favorite streaming apps and a few games as well. Having an Apple App Store on your TV really gives you a lot of options. The picture looks amazing hooked up to my 65” 4K TV in my living room. Watching movies look like movie theater quality. I definitely would recommend this, however it is a little on the pricey side.

I love this thing! I wish I got this sooner. If you heavily rely on iTunes for your music, movies, etc and your daily use of electronics are mostly apple products you will not regret getting this device. I have a 4K tv and it's so nice to have this apple tv 4K. It's so nice to show videos and pictures right on my tv from my iPhone with so much ease. I was mostly debating on whether or not to get this because of the price, but I weighed the pros and cons. In the end there was more good things about this because I could utilize it more because of my apple devices and iTunes. So nice!

Easy to use and Siri is very intuitive. Remote is a little sloppy and not easy to use but app store and apps are very friendly. Excellent video and audio!
