I’ve had a few Apple TV’s since they came out and this one is finally worth the upgrade imo. Picture is excellent and the box is really responsive. And it FINALLY has Amazon Prime Video, after the latest update. Overall, I really like it

i have a apple tv (last model) and an apple tv 4k. i like them both. the 4k model seems to have a few glitches but it could just be a particular case. good media center. i would recommend this to anybody. airplay galore. stream mac to tv. i love it. if you have an iphone you can pretty much just sit in front of it and do whatever you do on the little screen but instead, do it on the big screen. blast music through that hifi sound system, watch movies. i prefer it over roku or amazon's systems. easy choise for the honest person.

I have have a few versions of the Apple TV.. This one is worth the upgrade if you have a 4K TV.. The interface is great and the streaming to a 4K TV has amazing images. Apple calls the TV their hobby and they create an amazing product!

Like previous versions, this is the way to go for 4K streaming boxes. Very compact and like most things Apple it is easy to use. My only complaint is that I wish I would’ve waited for the next year‘s model, which has a more classic style remote is much easier to navigate menus in the touchpad dish remote has.

wow. this is a great addition to our living room. the ease of looking for content to watch, read, and play is so amazing. my entire family loves playing games on it. now I want to upgrade my old apple tv devices to the new 4th gen.

The picture quality the Apple TV 4K delivers is incredible. We actually stopped watching our cable channels through our provider’s box and began using the Spectrum app on Apple TV instead because the programming looks so much better. The remote is sensitive and difficult to get accustomed to. I had better luck downloading the Apple remote app and using my phone as a control. I also wish it were rechargeable but it needs to be plugged into a power source at all times. Apps are limited compared to what’s available on a mobile device and no internet browser is available, however, screen mirroring works well as long as your device and the Apple TV are on the same network. Though far from perfect, I am pleased with it overall. We get plenty of use out of it with our subscriptions to Amazon Prime, Netflix, Pandora, etc.

I’ve been using Apple TV for 6 or more years and loved it. We recently bought a 4K tv and needed better streaming so we went with this model and I’m not disappointed at all. The only reason i gave 4 stars is because the remote is a little tricky, being a touch remote it often switches channels or exits out. Ex, sitting watching tv and the remote slides down the couch and touches your leg or arm and it changes the channel.

If you are part of the Apple ecosystem and have a 4K TV or monitor, then you can't go wrong with Apple TV 4K. The homepage and UI are crisp, clear, amazing to see and watch in 4K. I was hesitant because of that infamous "apple tax" and being too expensive, but I bit the bullet and don't regret it at all. The quality, in my opinion, shows. Just one note, not regarding the quality of Apple TV: Make sure your TV or monitor is HDCP 2.2 compatible. You need HDCP 2.2 to stream in 4K on any platform and streaming service.

Let me tell you about this thing. It’s a great streaming device without an iPhone or iPad but it’s even greater with an iPhone or iPad. The remote touch pad is very sensitive but it’s accurate as heck, Siri works great so if Siri on your phone can already control your lights or turn other things on or off around the house then those same Siri features will work on the Apple TV as well. You can even download games on this thing even Apple Arcade games and I believe HomeKit is on it as well. My favorite features are the ability to spell out exactly what your looking for or if you need to input a password or username for something you can literally speak into the remote and say “Capital P, a, s, s, w, o, r, d” and you don’t have to speak slowly because Siri will keep up as if you are spelling your password or username to a real person. My other favorite feature is the input sync feature. This means once a text input field is opened on your Apple TV, your iPad or iPhone logged in to the same Apple ID as your Apple TV will receive a prompt to use your mobile device to type instead of using your Apple TV remote or voice. The remote is super small and easy to lose so I recommend putting a sticky Tile device on the back of it. The remote uses lighting usb to charge so your iPhone usb cable will work. You can also use your phone or iPad as a remote for the Apple TV from the control center and it’s been flawless ever since. I think I only had to charge my Apple TV remote once since I had it.

I upgraded from an earlier generation Apple TV after getting an LG OLED TV. The TV automatically detects the Dolby Vision encoding and it looks spectacular. The picture quality is improved for both HD and Ultra HD (4K) content.

Love! I have a 4K, 70 Inch Smart TV and I really like the interface. It's an Android TV. Even though I like the interface of the Android TV, it is very slow. The remote is not very responsive and I have to be patient. I've had an Apple TV for a few years now and love it but the reason I bought the 4K was because not all Android Apps on the TV support 4K like VUDU and if I used my older Apple TV, I would be losing quality and not be able to see anything in 4K or UHD. Is this 100 necessary, no. lol. It's a luxury like most Apple add-ons. Apple TV is super smooth and easy to use. There is no delay, you dont need to point the remote directly at the Apple TV which allows you to hide the Apple TV box and if you have a 4K TV, this makes much more sense than the non-4K Apple TV, especially for the small price difference between the 2. If you have Apple videos, movies, shows on your phone or iPad, they can all sync with the Apple TV to play on your television. We also have a family games downloaded on the Apple TV for when the family comes over like Hangman where they use their Android and iPhones to play along. I have a Roku for my bedroom TV and I have used the Firestick quite a bit in the past. The Apple TV is much more responsive vs the other 2. it is definitely more expensive than the other 2 as well and if you didnt want to cough up the Apple TV money, then I would highly recommend the Roku or Firestick/FireTV. Amazon Prime users would probably appreciate the Firestick/FireTV a bit more.

Apple TV is one of the best streaming devices I have ever used. I have used Amazon Fire Stick and built-in Roku and they are not as smooth and crisp as the Apple TV. The interface is easy and just so nice to use. The Apple TV of course comes with a hefty price tag as all Apple products do, but if you are making an investment to go to strictly streaming TV, then this is the streaming device for you.

I purchased this because of the 4 k. I have not used it yet but all the other functions work as good as the previous model. Once Amazon is available as an app, I will be glad I have the 4K. I don't play games with the apple tv.

Easy to navigate UI makes the expensive price tag worth it compared to competitors e.g. ROKU and Chrome cast. Only worth it for those who do NOT have technical inclination to troubleshoot and optimize those other options.

After a failed attempt with a Roku I trashed it and went with what I really wanted. I paid more but it hasn’t failed me now. WHAT EVER YOU DO. DO NOT BUY A ROKU. The Apple TV 4K is freaking awesome. Supper fast and reliable.

The 4K Apple TV is a much needed update and allows us to completely cut out cable TV all together

I have a number of TV boxes in the house (2nd & 3rd generation Apple TV, Roku Sticks, Roku 3, Roku Premier+) and also fiddled around with the ChromeCast for my in-laws. The Apple TVs are by far my favorite device. I love the ease of setup with my iPhone and the overall picture quality is far superior to my Roku devices. Also, I have a fairly large iTunes library (3200+ movies) and this is obviously the only way to watch that. With the free 4K HDR upgrades for iTunes purchased movies, there is no other way to go!
