Improvement above previous version. I had on the previous Apple TV and I would like this one better

Setup was pretty easy, easy to use and all your media in one place specially if you have movies anywhere account and integrate your TV provider. hopefully they add ATMOS support later, and I think Amazon Video app coming soon

I bought the 1st Gen, then upgraded to the 2nd Gen. after purchasing a 4K TV it made sense to get this 3rd Gen model. This works great and notice an improvement in performance and picture quality. We’ve kept our other two and use them for other TV’s in our home.

I initially am marking this a 4 star only because the player doesn’t play Dolby Atmos, but will be once TV OS 11.5 is released. I love this player though. It’s an upgrade from a 2nd gen Apple TV and I’m absolutely happy. Pros: Ease of use, Dolby Vision, HDR, plenty of apps, Dolby Digital + Cons: Lacks Dolby Atmos (for now), remote sensitivity needs adjusted Overall an outstanding player. Lack of Atmos support at the moment shouldn’t deter anyone from buying as an update will be here soon.

Apple did a great job of making it easy to install and configure. Picture quality on und is amazing.

If you have a 4K television, this is a great product for you.

Look, its the priciest of the smart TV hub things but listen, if you want the best and most fluid working one AND you already use iPhones or Macs. Just get this one already. 50-100 bucks more you won't be regretting when the other ones are freezing up or getting boring.

I would give it 5 stars but it's a computing device, so it's prone to issues. I do love having my streaming services on the main screen. The control should be backlit. Other than that, I love this for streaming. They try to make it a game platform, but controlling a game with the remote is tedious. You can pair it with a blue tooth controller, but I'll stick with a dedicated gaming console for games.

I unplugged my cable tv and wanted to stream everything. I have smart Tvs, but based on what I have read, Apple 4K TV was the best way to go. I wasn't disappointed. The picture quality is incredible and it's easy to install and easier to use. A must buy!!

I put all my "apples" in one basket so to speak, phone and then itunes then itunes music. I have to say and I have had every model from the first up to the 4th-this is the one to buy! Easy to connect, large selection of apps and great to interface with your laptop or computer where your itunes are stored. You can stream music, You Tube, Netflix, Prime, you name it! And if you have 4k it really does a nice job (and doesn't take up too much space on your stand! It is less flimsy than the firestick and if you have an Iphone or other apple products you need to stop right here and not even try and mix with the roku-which is a great product, but why have alot of different product types when this complements apple so well! Love the music and movies! Apple 4k's the way! I've had them for years and I don't see the need to waitfor more tech. Get one and try it out for yourself! Happy surfing!

Faster processor. Great sound and image quality. Great Apple TV 4K will show 4K quality, wish 4K apply to all movies. Hopefully Apple can extend the 4K movie library. Apps selection good, except games listing could be better.

Comparing this product to the last Apple TV this is a whole lot of a better product, faster, more robust and reliable. No more Wifi buffer like the last generation. This one is instant play, pause and rewind since it has more powerful insides.

Great tech and the best of its kind. I do have trouble using the remote because it is to slippery

This version of the Apple TV brings the ability to store 32GBs on it and provides great 4K video.

It’s a great debjce I watch all your movies 4K and play at the same time definitely recommendable

Works as expected and is easy to setup and use. Price is a bit higher than other streaming devices however if you already use Apple TV and have multiple Apple devices then it is worth the extra cost.

I have upgraded from Apple TV 4th Gen. After owning a product for little more than a year, Apple TV 4th Gen. had no problem playing anything; Netflix, Youtube, Hulu, etc. It looked really good on my 4K SUHD TV even though it only supports up to 1080P. I've been using Apple TV 4k (5th Gen.) for about 3 weeks and I don't see much improvement from the previous generation. Yes, it is much faster, but you have to find the best viewing options because just like famous reviewers said, auto 4k mode looks grayish. Also, Prime Video from Amazon is still not on Apple TV. (Today is Nov. 2nd, so Apple does have full two months to release them) Anyway, if you have Apple TV 4th Gen. I would suggest you to try the 5th Gen. for 2 weeks and decide whether keep it or return it.

Great picture with Dolby digital. Make sure you have a newer HDMI cable to take advantage of 4K.
