This is our 2nd Apple Tv product. We enjoyed the Regular version so much that we had to try the 4k version with our 4k television. Since we just got it our initial impression is it's faster and picture appears to be sharper.

The Apple TV 4K is amazing and so easy to setup and use that you will be like is that all do I need to enter this... or connect that... nope. Just a power cable, HDMI cable, and either WIFI or ethernet cable and you will be watching HD content in minutes. The 4K video is noticeably better than full HD 1080p. The user interface is super easy to navigate. The remote is easy to use. Using the voice record feature on your remote is awesome and surprisingly accurate.

The speed, easy to operate and setup. If you are in the apple environment this is the best option as you can operate it with ypur iphone, iPad, Apple Watch, etc. Very happy with my purchase, ready to buy the second one.

The Apple TV 4K does everything you'd expect it to do -- what's surprising is how Apple is undercutting the competition in 4K pricing. In a world where people are buying fewer films, and the current best physical media format might not be sticking around for long, it serves an important role by making 4K and HDR films more accessible. It's just a shame that we still have to wait for Apple to score more licensing deals, get more third-party support and fix curious omissions, like its lack of Atmos support.

Faster and better sound than the previous. Wish it had optical out and a lit remote but at least it has volume that works IR for the TV I have a Roku also and fumbling for the TV remote for volume fast is annoying.

Easy set up (like all Apple devices), small form factor, superior picture, and above all else, outstanding quality. I wouldn’t expect anything less from Apple. Will be buying another one for the TV in my bedroom.

Got a 4k apple tv with my 49 inch Samsung the other day and am very pleased with it. This is my second apple tv having had a 4th gen the last 2 years, so i am already familiar with it. Set up was even easier because of this. The remote js great with siri and picture quality is top notch. it automatically picked the best possible setting of 4k hdr at 60hz for my tv. Netflix looked great and 2 movies i have had a digital copy of got upgraded to 4k for free which was great. While this is the priciest streaming box i think it is the best and even more so if you are in the apple ecosystem.

This is a great all around streaming device. If you had any of the previous versions, you will certainly notice an improvement in performance and speed. I use this as my full-time connected smart device on my TV. With the popularity of the Apple ecosystem, App creators are going to make sure they produce an Apple TV app for their offering and make sure it works well. The remote is not my favorite, but once you get used to it, it gets the job done. Sometimes it would just be nice to have a few more buttons. Unless you are planning on using this as a gaming device, 32GB should be all you need for streaming your content. It starts up quickly and maintains a good WiFi connection, or can be hard wired if available. It is great for AirPlaying content from your iPhone/iPad or Mac on to your TV and even allows those not on your wireless network to AirPlay which is great if a visitor wants to show off something on the big screen. If you have a smart TV, you might think you don't need this, but in my experience, TVs last a lot longer than the "smart" technology inside them. So it is easier and cheaper to upgrade the connected technology, such as this Apple TV, to gain new and improved features and give more years of life into your TV. For the business users out there, it is great for a conference room screen as it can display connection instructions on screen and can easily be switched from user to user.

I came from the 2nd gen Apple TV to the last gen Apple TV and then decieded to get this to replace it with since I had a 4k tv. Picture is amazing in 4k and everything is very simple to use and super fast

I upgraded my old Apple TV to the updated version. This version is so smooth and easy. It makes steaming all your services very easily accessible and streamless. All of your recently watched shows are visible at the top of the home page no matter what streaming service it’s on. The remote control also is very easy to maneuver. I like also being able to see all my pics from my iCloud on my TV. The picture quality is great with 4K

I am using this towards my journey of cutting the code. The 4K support takes advantage of the nice TVs we are buying. Been very pleased with picture quality for netflixs, hbo, but even stuff like ESPN

Looks great on my new 4K TV (LG 55" C7 series OLED) and was real easy to set up as it sucked the account info right off my iPhone. Lots of good sources to explore. Now I just need better broadband...

Purchase the new Apple TV replacing my old one upgrading to meet the needs of my new 4K TV. I am now able to purchase and/or rent movies in addition to adding TV programing streaming in 4K. It also connects to my Apple iTunes to stream music and/or music videos that I thoroughly enjoy watching or listening to. This is my second Apple TV, my first one wasn't 4K so I move that one to my 1080P TV and can now stream to that TV and listen to music in all levels of my house. Apple products are thee best when connecting media through out the house effortlessly.

I couldn't emphasize how easy it is for it to connect to your iPhone, iPad or MacBook Pro. Everything just so seamlessly connected and the interface is so easy. Setting it up, took no more than 5 minutes. Granted I have a previous version of Apple TV so I was already familiar with the setup. Nevertheless, I'd say it is very easy for a first time user also, especially, if you have a iPhone ! Video and Audio quality are just as expected! EXCELLENT

I had the Apple 1 for many years and upgraded to the 4K. The controller took a little getting used to from the older version but it looks so much better on screen. Easy to set up and easy to use.

This is a Christmas gift for my son. He recently bought a 4k tv and had to upgrade his Apple Tv. The clarity of the picture, the ease of usage makes this a wonderful gift for the 4k TV owner.

Can’t get over he ease of use in the Apple ecosystem and this Apple TV continues the cycle. Over all quality of picture is great and the apps are getting better, can’t wait to see what’s next!

We have two Apple TV 4k devices and this is the second one. It's easy to use, the picture quality is excellent, and it integrates well with other Apple devices we have around the house. Regarding that last point, one positive the Apple TV has over the Amazon Fire TV devices is that if you go to search for something, such as searching the TV app store, and your iPhone is nearby, the Apple TV will shoot an alert to your phone so you can use it to type in the search box instead of scrolling around letter-by-letter. That's a nice feature, especially in view of my comment below about the bundled remote. One thing to note, depending on your TV's capabilities, is that this device doesn't seem to work properly if you connect it via a switchbox (for example, if your TV has two HDMI ports and you want to connect three HDMI devices). It works great when plugged directly into the TV, but I couldn't get a picture when I ran it through a Rocketfish HDMI switchbox. That's a minor nuisance for me on this particular TV because we don't use the Blu-ray player very often, and I therefore did not deduct a star from my rating, but I mention it for those people for whom it could be a bigger issue. The one thing that did cause me to deduct a star is the remote. My wife, in particular, hates it. If you look at the picture in the product listing, you'll see the lighter-colored area above the top two buttons. That's a touchpad, similar to the device you find on many laptops. It's how you move the cursor around the screen and how you fast-forward and rewind. It can be imprecise; we both much prefer the ring-style cursor control on Amazon's remote that comes with Fire TV devices. Maybe the idea is you'll use the microphone for voice control instead, but I find that to be a bit hit-or-miss in terms of how well it works (on both the Apple TV and the Amazon devices), and I also don't like fast-forwarding by voice when, say, I want to skip the commercials during Jeopardy. If the remote had dedicated fast-forward and rewind buttons, I would not deduct a star for the touchpad, but it doesn't. (I will note that you can use your iPhone as a remote as well, but I don't much like doing that.)

The 4K Apple TV looks like and works like the last generation of Apple TV, but now with 4k video. And even more importantly: HDR and Dolby Vision. HDR and Dolby Vision make colors really pop in the appropriate places. Also, Apple negotiated prices with movies companies, so you can rent or buy a 4K, 4K HDR or 4K Dolby Vision movie for the about the same price as a regular HD sale or rental. Amazon Prime Video is now available on Apple TV as well. Finally, the latest software update allows for the Apple TV to automatically switch HDR, Dolby Vision, plain 4k or regular HD on and off, so your video will always show the best native resolution for what you are watching.

Overall very happy with my choice, with so many options out there. I’m a movie buff so picture and audio quality is paramount. Apple 4K delivers on all aspects of the viewing and audio aspects. The interface is outstanding and connections and set up was a breeze. Worth the price. I haven’t used my Roku or smart TV apps. Both were very good but this device has 98% of my needs.
