The key reason I purchased this was to watch internet shows on our big screen TV; the key feature missing on my Roku. My family is all Apple so the connectivity for all our devices was flawless, easy and reliable; perfect for family use. The setup was a breeze. Streaming internet shows was easy to do and works great. Also easy to stream photos to TV. Although it is slow for streaming videos stored in a Photos library. The Apple TV controller is a bit cumbersome to control and navigate. I liked the control buttons I had on my previous Roku, versus the touchpad of this Apple TV controller. Overall very satisfied with this purchase and would recommend.

This is an excellent upgrade from my older Apple TV2 (HDMI small Black box). Really incorporated in the Apple Infrastructure, Phones, laptops, tablets, routers, etc. Wanted to use Apps and the Streaming video content not available on the older Apple TV's (Sling, DirecTV Now) so i upgraded. Best purchase ever. Very fast little box. Love the ability to download apps and play games using my iPad or iPhone as the game controller. Screen Sharing is a big plus between MacBook Pro and iOS devices to the the Apple TV. I have one 4K Apple Tv and one Apple TV 2, use it a lot more than my Roku's and i have a bunch of them. These things are much faster and smoother.

The 4K is great on 4K TV's. I never found any issue with the remote, which is why Apple released the new version. This Apple TV does not lag and its perfectly useful for today's standards. If you are in the apple ecosystem already, this is a no brainer to buy. Plus it helps boost performance of your apple devices with HomeKit.

Since we recently bought a 4K TV, we decided to upgrade our regular Apple TV to the newer version, 4K. We can tell a difference and love the speed! This is very easy to set up and use!

As an iPhone user I found the Apple TV device very easy to set up. If I had one problem with it it is at the remote is very sensitive to the touch and if your finger slips you’ll lose your place and have to start back over again when you’re looking for movies to select. The picture quality is great. I am so happy to be using the Apple TV instead of a cable box.

The remote is not very friendly with the top having to imagine arrow keys. Also, hard to shut down. I had to use the talk device to figure out how to shut down. Will take time to get use to. Unfortunately the 64 was sold out, could only get the 32. Time will tell if should have waited for the larger storage. Does work well with 4k Samsung tv.

I am really impressed with the quality of the new Apple TV. Lots of adjustments to calibrate to my TV. Also like that Apple made all our jaws available movies in my library 4K.

After having a similar item from a competitor, I can truthfully say that this is the superior performer. In both capabilities, quality, and performance, 5 stars across the board. Well almost, except for price... as this is substantially more expensive then an equivalent competitor. Bottom line is that if you want the very best and smoothest experience, this is your choice.

I’ve always been an Apple fan and have had Apple TV’s for years. I upgraded from a TV series 2 to this Apple TV 4K. Wow! Since my tv is 4K, it made since to bypass the Apple 4 and go with the 4K for the extra few dollars. The availability of apps as well as the Siri voice search has made Apple TV the greatest product on the market. I know people argue that other devices are out there for less money, but they do not have the resources nor the support that comes with Apple. I highly recommend the 4K.

The Apple TV 4k itself is an outstanding unit. If you're an avid ITunes user for both music and movies, it's excellent. I only had one problem setting up the device. After ensuring that I had a compatible TV, A/V receiver and cables, I still couldn't get it to display a 4k HDR picture. The problem was me. I missed one UHD color setting on my TV. The Apple 4k gave me the clue to investigate and once I found the setting in question on my TV, I set it and I'm now getting outstanding 4k HDR video for the movies that are in 4k HDR. I noticed that some reviewers criticized the non-4k movie quality when the unit was setup for 4k HDR. I experienced the opposite. It seems to me that I get better quality with all of my movies than I did on the last two models. I am extremely satisfied with my purchase of this Apple 4k TV. My only caveat is that Apple seems to have some issues with networking iTunes that I started noticing with my last Apple TV. I was hoping this one would get past that but no luck. I believe the problem may be with either Apple's or Microsoft's software regarding working with Windows 10. This Apple TV 4k is just about everything I could want.

The Apple 4k delivers a stunning picture. I'm constantly amazed at how incredible the picture is. It was easy to setup and integrate into my current home theater system. The remote that comes with it takes a little getting used to but its good once you get the hang of it. Overall, I highly recommend Apple TV 4K especially if you have a 4k tv.

Again, Apple has created a product that simply outperforms all of its competitors. I didn’t realize what I was missing until I bought an Apple TV 4K, mainly because I was viewing Netflix, Prime, YouTube, etc. through the Samsung TV apps just fine. But then I bought a Dolby Atmos soundbar, after which I quickly discovered that true Dolby Atmos sound wasn’t possible unless using a device that was configured for/compatible w/ Dolby Atmos. Enter the Apple TV 4K, and not only did I get Dolby Atmos sound to come through when viewing Netflix, Prime, etc., I also got a much cleaner, simplified user interface to navigate all of the third party streaming apps along with Apple+’s own network of content. Just like all other Apple products, everything is well thought out, very intuitive, and simple. Picture and sound are excellent. No more wondering if I’m getting actual Dolby sound or 4K picture, which otherwise often get dumbed-down due to the hardware limitations of the TV or incompatibility of third party apps. Got the smaller storage size since I primarily stream content. No compatibility issues, hiccups, or quirks—it just works. Well worth the price. Very happy with it.

This is my 3rd appleTV product, and upgraded solely due to my 4K tv and 4K media from Netflix. Really no massive difference besides the speed bump and the 4K capability (depending on what you subscribe to, download 4K flicks from the apple store, etc). If not a 4K owner, etc, stick with the last upgrade, otherwise recommended.

I had the series that was a few before this one. But I have a 4K TV and I wanted to start and stream 4K. I am super happy with it and the picture on the TV is amazing.

I upgraded from my first gen Apple TV because I wanted more ease when using Apple music on my home theater system and it does the job perfectly. The 4k on this system is AMAZING. I love watching all of my shows and movies through Apple TV. It is always my go-to streaming device, and I have about 5 different options. I also love being able to rent movies so easily through the Apple store. Perfect.

I had previously purchased two Apple TV 4s (not 4K), and when the Apple TV 4Ks came out, I decided to upgrade. I love my Apple TV. If you already have one, it may not be worth upgrading unless you have an older model. If you are looking for a way to make your TV smart, you have to decide what you want. If you have a 4K TV with UHD and don't mind spending a little extra for the Apple experience, then this is for you. There are much cheaper options that do the same thing, however. I like the Apple interface, the incredibly simple set-up process, and how seamlessly it plays with my other Apple products.

Bought a nvidia shield back in August nothing but issues including Lag, freezing up constantly , and a pathetic excuse of a remote. However I needed a 4k streaming device and at the time only the shield was 4k with HDR. Now apple’s 4k tv is everything I wanted. Great remote no need for batteries as you charge it with an AC adapter like you charge your phone. One good solid charge can last for 3-4 weeks so it’s not too much of a hassle. I would buy this item if you have a 4k tv and want a fast streaming device with best picture available. Hands down one of my best purchases I’ve made from Best Buy.

Although a little pricy, great product, and a wonderfull picture. A lot of my Apple HD movies where upgraded to 4K for free. Only wish it was the same for Netflix

Apple killed it with this one. Streaming works great. So smooth and the 4K looks just as good as when you’re watching on disc. Sounds great too. I’ve been a physical media guy for a long time and still will be, but this device definitely made me see the streaming side for the first time as a possibility in the future possibly.
