I think the "mouse pad" is to sensitive on the controller. Moving your fingers doesn't nail what I'm looking for vs the clicking of the old version.

Was looking for a settop that played everything DirectPlay I could throw at it through Plex, and after trying various Roku and other devices nothing came close to the Apple TV 4K. This played EVERYTHING

Honestly the best streaming device there is. This is my second Apple TV in my home. If you’re already in the Apple ecosystem it’s a no brainer. Everyone else, it’s still an upgrade over any stock tv UI and much smoother.

I really do love Apple TVs and the Apple 4K TV works better than everything else I’ve tried. It gets extra points for the FaceTime Support using continuity camera off an iPhone.

BUYER BEWARE! Picked this up to replace an Amazon Fire stick and setup Apple Home. Apple TV had better picture quality and was much more responsive than the Fire Stick and is ok for Apple Home. It worked great for the first couple months on an older 4K Samsung tv I have but recently it has been dropping picture every other minute. It started out only cutting to a black screen for a second or two during an hour long show(seemed to only happen in the Netflix app) but it has gotten to the point where it’s pointless streaming video through any app on this device. The video cut out have gotten so bad an hour long show becomes 2 hours long that’s if it can gain video signal back. The problem persists through multiple streaming apps now prime/paramount/max/appletv. I’ve tried numerous different HDMI cables, changed settings on the tv, and the device all with no luck. I’ve read on apple support that this is a common issue with older Samsung 4k tvs and even some older Sony 4k tvs but I have yet see any solution for this issue whether from Apple or other consumers. I have another Apple 4k TV/Ethernet hooked up on a 1080p Samsung and 1080i Sony and have never experienced this issue on it.

These were such a game changes I bought two. These are great if u have a great picture wuality TV with a crappy interface. This will solve that issue by making the menus very fast to use

Love this so far. Purchased due to compatibility issues with the older model. Love the remote and the k terrace is the same as it’s always been. But very fast processing speeds compared to the TV alone.

Got this to play atmos music tracks with apple music. Overall its decent, it connected to the wifi well, displays fine and has good audio and visual playback. however as someone who is not part of the apple ecosystem the box does have some major drawbacks. Most notably is the text ui is terrible on these, instead of all the letters being in a nice grid they are all a-z in one long line. so password entry or searching for a song or movie without using voice to text is awefull.

I love it, it’s like having my iPhone on the television, movies, and music crystals clear. Apple movies and shows are great. I spent a little extra money for a high quality HMDI cord which makes my audio and visual superior.
