    Bought to replace a tv’s fire streaming. Disappointed as it will not turn the tv on or off. My older HD Apple - TD will. Eventually I will replace the tv and employ the Apple TV as it seems to be a shortfall of the tv.

    Pain to set up if you have no other Apple devices. Apple really hiders you in this regard.

    we bought 2 of them and are happy with them just a little difficult to maneuver around with the remote but we are getting used to it

    We like it a lot, we have not received our Apple TV special. Though with a new purchase we would receive Apple TV special and have not!! Kinda disappointed,but we do enjoy it.

    purchased this June 2024 to watch Hulu live so that I could watch sports on multiple TVs in one room (I have 2 Roku and it changes both channels at the same time) but the Hulu live option sucks because it does not come up as a guide. you cant actively access it, it is just a line on one of the channels. Roku is better (for Hulu live) if you wanted to compare. (I will not rate because I only got it for one purpose and it does not do that, but does not mean that the entire product sucks, but I have to rate to submit this review and I wrote to much dang stuff to just delete it)

    UI is much snappier than my 1st gen I was replacing. Being able to charge the remote with a USB-C is a big plus too

    if you are in the apple system it just works and simple setup. if you are not then maybe look at other options
