Hot Mess

Updated software, charged remote, did all the pairing dances Apple recommended and nothing keeps it from happening. It works fine and 10 seconds later, it’s not working at all. It’ll turn the volume up on the TV and that’s all it does. Buy a Roku.

Be Careful Buying Anything Open Box

Purchased this as it was an open box only to have two weeks for returns. This is my 4th AppleTV so I figured it would be fine. Sure enough, the Apple TV started acting funny right outside the return window so I contacted Best Buy support for them to only tell me Sorry about your luck.

Remote doesnt work

This new model came with a redesigned remote and it has stopped working completely in less than a month. The remote connection notification toggles between ‘connected’ and ‘lost’ and the remote only works if I am pointing directly at it within two feet.

No Cord

Doesn't pass the orinal sound to receiver

Doesn't support bit stream. I have home theatre setup with Onkyo 7.2 receiver. Problem is it doesn't pass the original sound track to the receiver.

Nice upgrade

Great picture/sound, easy to use controller, and setup is extremely simple. Only real downside is if you want to have a tc that is restricted on certain apps, say for use with kids you need another apple is to lock things down. Overall would purchase again.
