    Purchased as a gift for my sister, I have one myself and enjoy the experience for streaming movies and music. Only downfall is Apple needs to increase the sample rate for playing Hi-res audio as it’s currently capped at 24bit / 48khz yet plenty of receivers have been capable of playing Hi-res 24bit / 192khz for many years now. But this unit is the chokehold that’s prohibiting Apple from utilizing their own ALAC (Apple Lossless) audio.

    Apple TV improves the picture and sound of older TVs and the newest and best TVs. We cut the cord and stream all our entertainment for less than half the cost of cable.

    Most consistent streamer we’ve had (prev had Nvidia, Amazon Fire & Roku), but doesn’t always play well with other brands if you have a more complex A/V setup with multiple devices.
