Apple dominates the Smart TV Streaming segment. I’ve used both 4k options from Roku and Google TV. They get the job done and at a far better price, don’t get me wrong. However, if you want the most pleasant experience with the most seamless transitions between screens and fast loading times, an Apple TV should be your go to choice. Your kids probably already have an iPhone too. So they’ll enjoy air play.

Takes some getting used to but overall I'm happy with it.

Absolutely love this. I do recommend getting a charging stand for the remote too so A. It stays charged and B. You don’t misplace it. I brought this in a home with 2 older adults and they actually have a extremely easy time using it.

Look, its not revolutionary and will do the same thing as any other streaming device, albeit a bit faster. If you have the money just laying around to buy it, its a no brainer. The difference in user experience is noticeable, the remote is by far the best out of any streaming device, and it just works. Especially if you have an iphone, this is a breeze to setup and use. It wont cure cancer, and if you dont have the money for it, you wont miss out on using another device. But if you are considering this against something else, dont. Just get the Apple TV

I upgraded to this model from the Apple TV HD model. The difference in picture quality is very noticeable and the remote is much better as well. Well worth the upgrade.

Works OK as a streaming device. We mainly use it to stream a NYC TV evening news program to a 16-year old non-smart LCD TV. It replaced an Apple TV 2 which was getting flaky. Apple hadn't updated the latter in many years. I wouldn't have bought it if we hadn't needed it as there is supposedly a new Apple TV coming out this year.

Much easier to stream my apps. Offers more ease of downloading apps as well. Now also have ease of one remote. Very satisfied with purchase. This is my 3rd Apple TV purchase.

Apple TV is simply the best way to view all streaming apps. Easy to navigate; the App store accessible from TV to add anything, simple to login from any device in the network with the QR codes. Love the apps that come with the install, especially the work out ones!

Apple TV is the best and most responsive streaming box - perfect for our family. Blows TV based smart apps out of the water. Picture quality is stunning.

Works as intended. No lag, extremely easy to set up.

I like the layout of the new remote. Takes a bit to get used to if you’ve owned the previous models. Picture quality is great. I had an issue with SOME apps not playing sound, but it worked fine after a reset.

Seamlessly works with my Samsung big screen. Great features and I love the interoperability with Apple Airpods. I like the fact that it is portable and I can hook it up to a 10 year-old "dumb" TV and get a lot the features of a smart TV.
