I had the older generation and it was a pain to navigate with the remote and the new functionality is much more elegant with the option of Siri. Would certainly recommend this upgraded version of Apple TV

AppleTV3rdGen is a huge improvement over the 2nd generation. I was skeptical at first but it was worth the money to upgrade!

My family and I able to access thousands of more movies and television shows via Apple TV. There is never "nothing on."

This is a great device and I should have purchased this a long time ago. Its worth the extra money to get the bigger storage.

Had to replace my old Apple TV and this was on sale. Works much better and being able to download apps makes it even better.

simple to use and now has apps. But currently still having problem with sound systems, the bose base unit would cut in and out making the sound annoying. It is an Apple issue that needs to be fix via update?

I already had a second generation Apple TV that was still working great. And now this one does so many more cool things.

Step up from the previous models. I like that it now has the ability to have apps, however the selection is still pretty limited compared to the iPhone and iPad App Store. Easy setup and intuitive interface.

Takes a little time to set up but easy to use and works great. I was looking for an alternative to expensive satellite tv.

From the new remote to the much improved interface, the AppleTV allows us to easily search for content across HBO, Netflix, Showtime, Starz and iTunes using voice commands. If only Apple and Amazon could reach a deal so AmazonPrime could be installed as an App. Just remember that every now and again, you have to double click the monitor icon and then swipe up to close Apps just like you do on an iPad or iPhone. Leaving them running too long will eventually lead one or more Apps to freeze.

Being an apple guy I like how it flows with the iPhone and able to use iTunes and also of course watch tv with chosen apps

I bought an Apple TV and then got one for my mom because, well, it's that easy to use. Not the greatest selection without paying per month for extras, but in general easier than Roku and more versatile.

This is my 2nd AppleTV because I lost my remote from the first one and decided to upgrade. Very reliable device, remote has more features - same great performance. I have not tried the voice command yet.

The new Apple TV is a meaningful upgrade to the first generation. Specifically, the Siri integration and new touchpad on the remote make navigation much easier -- it take most of the frustration out of the interface and usability. The only complaint I have is that the remote is very easy to confuse which side is the trackpad and also touch and accidentally rewind or fast forward when on the couch.
