While I wasn't all that impressed with my 3rd Gen Apple TV, this 4th Gen Apple TV finally opens up the doors of possibility by allowing users to install apps. Cord cutters will love the unit as it opens up a brave new world of wireless TV.

This is our second fourth generation Apple TV. We needed a second one to replace an aging Second generation one. The new TV app has changed the way we use it completely. Very user-friendly for a first generation app. I look forward to what Apple might do with this app in the future. This would've been five stars if Netflix was included in the TV app.

our Apple TV's work great in all our rooms, we connect via WIFI - and use them for movie rentals from iTunes, tv shows on HULU/NETFLIX and can take any MAC or IPAD/iPHONE and share the screen on our large TV via the APPLE TV. Works great!

I have it in my SUV, this time with the hurricane we needed to travel out of the pat, so we didn't miss anything and we enjoy our favorite shows on the way, and the kids enjoy watching the cartoons or movies at any time, like in my own home.

Having had the prior generations of Apple TV, this 4th gen Applle TV is the best with all its apps, including Sling. However, Roku 4 has more content and better performance . Wish I could get all my Apple purchases ( movies, music) on my Roku.

WOW! Talk about clear image to everything. Even though we have a smart tv, we enjoy using apps on Apple TV, because the quality truly is that much more crisp and beautiful!! We are also all Apple users at home, this was the icing on the cake!

I had an older generation AppleTV that I moved to the upstairs TV and placed this new one in the living room. Setting it up was a piece of cake with the HDMI cable already there from the earlier model. Started it up and we were in business. I haven't really looked at gaming on it but the kids have done some Real Racing 3 and they seem to enjoy it.

It works well so far, I think that it could be improved if there were more apps that were added onto it.

Like every Apple device easy to set up and it just works. Wish there were more apps for it though. Helps you to cut the cord or skip the VCR and except for network restrictions (like CBS' ridiculous ones) no more need to use AirPlay. Open your app and quality TV picture on your screen.

By far and away the easiest furniture kit I have ever put together. Very well written instructions with detailed illustrations to make assembly quick & easy. I have a heavy 55" HD TV I put on it and very sturdy. Very Pleased with my purchase!

worth the $ to view pics, emails and netflix on the big screen

I had the first version and this one is a improvement from the remote to the actual experience itself. Really the only reason why I bought a new one was because my old one was outdated and it started to randomly reset or reboot itself.

It's great being able to stream things like Netflix, Hulu etc.

I love the new generation AppleTV! The fact that there are options for which app to use is when choosing a movie is great. Thanks Apple for keeping your customers wallet in mind. Why buy a movie if it's already in Hulu, Netflix, or HBO?!

We love our Apple TV's. We have one for every TV in our house and it's really nice to be able to pause on one tv and pick it back up on another. Perfect for syncing all of our iTunes movies across all of our devices for our kid as well.

The Appletv does everything you ask of it, especially when managed through other Apple devices: iMac, iPhones, and iPads. The addition of Remote control with these devices helps to reduce frustration with the included remote, which is overly sensitive and often is annoying when entering passwords or inadvertently touching the remote.

The latest generation Apple TV does a great job consolidating all the applications that I use for streaming. The only two complaints I have are 1) Lack of Optical Audio; only has 1 HDMI connection and 2) Lack of Amazon Prime app.
