The new AppleTV 4 is good but...

The device is great, and we have been using Apple TVs since the initial release. It seems there has been a BIG step backwards from the AppleTV 3rd gen to the new 4th gen in terms of user interface and UX. It's almost as if they didnt actually use the device before launch. THAT said, it seems as if they just issued an update for the iPhone REMOTE app which is supposed to work with the new AppleTV 4, and if that's the case, the UX will be improved. I am sure the UI will get an update, because it's unusable as is. That said, it's still a great media player.

Great device

So far we have toyed with it with a few aps, and are quite surprised and please with the results. We are going to get at least one more for a different room. The savings from cutting out cable pay for the device.

Better than I expected

The integration with all of the apple products is seamless and we now use it to stream movies, tv shows, listen to music, look at our pictures, etc. Hoping that Apple will finally come out with it's own tv package so I can finally cut the cord.

Next great step for Apple TV

Latest software updates from Apple allow dictation and full Siri searching for shows and content. Only downside is no 4K video support. But, 1080P HD content plays back smoothly. Love it!
