I am a huge fan of Apple, and have been buying their products almost exclusively for 10 years. This new Apple TV is a step in the right direction, and is greatly improved over prior versions. The biggest benefit is the addition of an App store which allows external developers on to the platform. There are many new Apps which I like including Plex. However, there are some things about this product that drive me crazy. (1) You cannot pair an external bluetooth keyboard (yet), and the iOS Apple Remote App does not work with this products. This means that you have to use the onscreen keyboard w/ the Siri remote to input every user ID and password required. This leads me to the next complaint (2) Every streaming app requires that you log in to your TV provider (ESPN, HBO, Show Time, NBC, ABC, et al). This SHOULD be a single login to your TV provider, that is shared across all streaming apps. (3) There is NO ability to record any programming; no DVR capability means this is only a streaming box. (4) SIRI remote is cool, but SIRI is only available for iTunes and Netflix; this should work across ALL of content including PLEX. (5) Apple Home Sharing is completely BROKEN and USELESS. I expect Apple to do MUCH better than this effort. However, for the time being, this is the best solution.

I've had an Apple TV (Gen 1) for several years. Recently I upgraded to the new generation. The new generation breathes new life into an already grey at platform. I love the ability to download apps and customize my experience on the new unit. The fact that app developers can now develop custom apps for the Apple TV gives so many options when it comes to the selection of content I want to see. Even existing apps like Hulu and Netflix are re-skinned and have added functionality. The addition of Siri to the remote and interface is an added bonus that makes finding programs I want to watch easy and quick. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to broaden their viewing experience past traditional Cable options or wants the flexibility to watch TV on their own terms. I'm also excited to see how the gaming world evolves on this new platform. I've really enjoyed the ability to play games (like racing games) through the Apple TV. Great device and worth the price!

If you're invested into the Apple ecosystem this is a must buy. The addition of an App Store and Siri is a welcomed addition. Overall, it is a great product, which will only improve over time.

Great product. Very easy set up, takes a few times to figure out how to get apps. Great picture and sound, wireless does not miss a beat. Use in a bedroom that does not have cable, making me think twice about even keeping cable. Well worth it!!

As expected this is another great product from Apple. The internal hard drive and addition of Siri are great features. The new remote is very easy to use and intuitive. The only thing that lacks is 4k compatibility and Amazon Prime(for now).

I couldn't believe how easy this was to set-up. Works perfect. I don't know if I needed the extra GB or the latest version, but I bought it just in case. Keep in mind you need to supply your own HDMI cable, but I bought a good one at Best Buy.

The Apple TV is so easy to set up and the Bluetooth remote is very easy to navigate. SIRI will immediately find what I am looking for and bring it up. I highly recommend this product.

I was debating whether to upgrade to the new Apple TV over the last several months and I'm very happy I finally did. The New Apple TV is noticeably faster than its predecessor and some of the new apps are amazing! Worth the upgrade!

Gave this to my son for Christmas to replace an earlier version of Apple TV. He is very pleased with it. Hookup and learning to use all of the features was little complicated, he has told me. But now he has everything up and running and finds the interface excellent. He's not sure he'll use ALL of the features, but appreciates the flexibility.

I already own three other AppleTV 3rd gen. I bought this one mainly for the remote. Now after using it for a few months , I want to throw away my other Apple TVs and get all new ones. it's more responsive and has a lot more features .

OK, Ok... I'm an Apple fan, that being said, I love this new apple tv. The UI is better, the remote is way improved and the integrated Siri is perhaps the best feature. This thing is just going to continue to get better with updates.

Better but still missing some useful things. Could be better

The new Apple TV is great! Starting with the screen savers which are beautiful to the remote which I love (because it's so easy to play the games with it) also movies and shows look so much clearer. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because Siri doesn't work as good as on my phone but other then that totally worth the purchase.

Easy access, many different features lots of cool games

I love the new Apple TV. No more restrictions based upon the apps that are pre-loaded. The app store is awesome and the remote is much larger and has a track pad on it.

Really enjoying the new Apple TV. Love that you just speak to it and it takes you to the show you want to watch. Also love the new apps and games that are available...Gives a whole new vantage to your TV watching experience.

I like this Apple TV. The initial set up is kind of annoying. Also hate that you still have to type all your account passwords in with the apple remote. I really like the added features of Siri and other apps. Just not sure it was worth what Apple prices it at.

This is a great upgrade to the existing Apple TV. Performance is so much better and the new apps work well. The remote and SIRI work flawlessly. Being able to control my TV's volume and power on/off switching is too cool.

The UI, speed, and remote control have been dramatically improved over the prior generation. Frankly, I did not use much the first gen much because it was pretty kludgey to use and hard to navigate. Now the remote with the touchpad built in and the Siri voice recognition makes all the difference. Of course the new apps are great also but I can't comment much on that bc all we use it for are different TV services. I can see how this will make the cable companies change their model over time.

The new Apple TV is a great multimedia device! I love the fact that I can stream all of the popular services on a single device; Netflix, Hulu, HBO Now, etc. Plus, now that it can play games too makes it even better!
