Positives: App Store More responsive I like where the remote idea is heading it is a nice idea Cons: The new remote is a little too twitchy. No 4K Upon reflection I'm not sure if it was worth buying over a AppleTV3 unless you play the games on the App Store.

We have been waiting for the new Apple TV to come out and purchased it as a gift for ourselves for Christmas. We are thinking about cancelling our Direct TV service we thought it would be best to purchase 1 unit and see how we liked it in comparison. Although we are new to streaming tv so far we love it. Overall we found it easy to navigate. Love the Suri feature too. We are still learning where & how to access some of our favorite channels but love everything it has to offer. Well Done Apple!!!

Bought new apple tv to replace old one and the picture is much better and you have way more app's. It is excellent. The staff at best buy were very helpful.

Had the original Apple TV and I have to say this works so much better and the remote is so much easier for me to use. Hook up was fast and easy and access to movies and music we already own is a cinch.

This Apple TV isn't essential if you have the older one, but it is a nice upgrade in speed and it does have a few new features compared to last gen.

I like the interface much better than previous versions of AppleTV. The remote is good, but I can't get my Logitech harmony remot to work with this new AppleTV. I don't use Siri that much. Entering text was a chore, but they just updated the remote app so you can enter text on your iPhone or iPad.

Overall this is the best set top box in my opinion, however it is a lot more expensive compared to comparible roku's. The apps are all very nice. Plex app blows away the app on the smart tv I have.

This streaming device is full of features that are way better than the Rukus. Love the voice activated control feature. Easy to set up. Took a while to set up all apps but it was painless. Far quicker than the Roku. So far loving it. Like the sleep mode option. Also not available on Roku.

I have a lot of iTunes purchases (or digital movies from Blurays), so having iCloud movies is essential. I haven't really spent time with any competitors because of this reason. That said, this Apple TV experience is great. It's fun to use, the remote is very precise, and it has something I've always wanted: a global search with Siri. Not only that, whatever you find you can also watch a trailer of before you decide on it. That's a great way to decide on something rather than wasting time in Netflix browsing covers and reading details.

Much faster unit! Wished the setup was a little easier(still have to hunt and peck with remote). Voice features a good addition to navigate.

I use the Apple TV every night! It flawlessly delivers streaming services like Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Hulu, as well as MLB.TV, HBOGo, and countless other apps from the App Store. If you have Apple Music, all of your music will be at your fingertips. Perfect for any Apple fan or streaming fanatic. Games are a nice bonus for the whole family, and the touch remote with Siri works like a dream.

I purchased the current version of the ATV, because I was interested in the ability to use the new app store and leverage this is my primary streaming device instead of the ChromeCast (which I own 3) and my Roku. We cut the cord a while ago and have an OTA antenna and rely heavily on Hulu Plus as well as Netflix. We also use our TV's built in Amazon interface. I appreciate the speed of the new ATV, the ability to access our iTunes libraries and the Netflix/Hulu apps work great. I do wish Amazon would have an app on the ATV, but we're managing fine without it. We can still rent/purchase movies through iTunes, which is probably going to reduce the movies we purchase from Amazon. Its just a convenience factor. We haven't tried the new HomeKit with this unit, but plan to try as it was another factor in our decision to buy this over another product. All in all, after a couple months of use, we've found it enjoyable and easy to use. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a streaming device that is already heavily into the Apple ecosystem, but its also great for people that want to dip their toes into this product segment as it is really easy to use. We love the new remote and have yet to need to charge it!

With the content based way to find shows in different apps and the ability to download apps and games this is the best set top box ever.

The new controller is great. Makes moving around the menus easy and care free. The on board storage is a great new feature cause it makes loading your purchases faster and less jumpy.

Much easier to use than the older Apple TV with a lot of new, fun extras that I probably haven't even begun to dive into most of them.

This was my preferred choice before giving the Roku streaming stick a try. After a non-start with it, I put down the extra money and got another item to add to my Apple ecosystem. Setting up through my iPhone was a breeze. Also already having a Mac computer aided in pushing some of my library over to the Apple TV, as well as toying around with AirPlay. The only thing I could find wrong or bad with using it is with entering text, having to swipe back and forth, letter by letter, but with an upcoming update text input and searching will be smoother and easier. If you're already in the ecosystem of Apple, this will make for a great addition.

This Apple TV is a lot easier to use with the Siri option now since you don't have to type your search anymore. Also the control is a lot more convenient with the swipe option now.

Great product. Perfect having siri and an app store as added features, with more updates this will be a perfect product. Awesome playing music and video games on your tv. If you loved the previous apple tv this takes it to another level and the possibilities will be endless

Easy setup, Interface better. The remote is awesome. And I'm still learning tricks. I really love it..... Picture quality is great!

I really love having an Apple TV with an AppStore and games. It gets better and better as new apps are added. I thing the one improvement would be to have an Amazon Prime app.
