I bought this current generation AppleTV to replace a previous gen AppleTV. All I had to do was swap out the old with the new using the same original cables which made it easy. The old one went to a lesser-used TV elsewhere. I have always love the simplicity and reliability of the AppleTV and its seamless integration with my other Apple devices for sharing music/video/photo libraries, streaming audio, and sharing screens with Airplay. For the price, it is unbeatable if you have Macs and i-devices already.

This is great for streaming Netflix and YouTube to our TV. It's easy to use, so my mom and little niece are able to use it without any problems.

Worth it for 1080p and improved Airplay. One Note: There is no Amazon Prime program in Apple TV. However, you can stream via Apple TV using your iPhone or iPad using Amazon Prime Video app. Simple play Amazon Prime video on your iPhone or iPad using Amazon Prime Video app and tap on AirPlay button on right bottom hand corner. You will see that option when you have Apple TV near you.

There are those that would bash this simply since it is an Apple product. I have found that it allowed me to break the bond that cable TV had on my house. Dropping that extra $120.00 a month right back into my budget again. It DOES NOT replace everything cable had to offer and I did not expect it to. I my expectations were realistic and they were met and in some ways exceeded.

The apple TV is better and easy to use than the applications that are offer in your TV. The only thing is that it need more variety in TV networks.

Only negative thing I can say is navigation when searching using the alphabet and typing in each letter, kinda slow process. Overall great device.

Very easy setup, plug in within minutes you're watching items like Netflix, Hulu an Crackle. With Apple TV & Apple products you can also use the Apple remote app, stream content on your iPhone, iPad to your tv as well. Don't miss the cable charges either :)

The Apple TV although now an older version is a great addition to any room
