Apple TV gives more than smart TV functionality, but less than say, a Mac Mini. If you are looking for a universal device sharing to A/V system solution, this is not it, look at something like Chromecast. Apple TV is for those that want smart TV functionality and the ability to share media & display Apple devices or computers on the "big screen". I have switched from plugging in my iOS devices to my A/V system to just connecting to Apple TV via WiFi. Both sound & picture quality is excellent. I now even get 5.1 audio on some Netflix programming. Overall, "Bang for the Buck" is excellent. :-)

It's very good compared to other devices I have used. It is great to be able to stream stuff from my mobile devices without having a bunch of cords and connections.

Apple TV is WAY better than Chromecast. The only thing I would do differently is buy the newer one where you can download apps. I would like to watch Amazon tv.

I have three of these things throughout my house on different TVs and we love them, especially now that you can get HBO on them. They are small and easy to connect.

We had Roku 3, and raved on reviews for it, however, we were trying to figure out a way to play dish anywhere from our phones to the TV without a wire needed. Viola! Mirror it right up there! It plays everything in HD, even on slower internet. It costs less. It blends and functions well with our other Apple products. It's truly wonderful. The only thing I haven't found on it yet is Vudu app, but I'm sure it's capable. That will give me all of my Ultra Violet saved movies as well.

Works great !! Which the remote had a locator. But overall love it . Can view my everything on my phone on our tv ..;

This is a cavble station unit. You have access to all the subscribers from the one tv box. You have to register for their services. Companies like hbo, hula, netflix.... And so much more. In order for this to wiork you must have wifi. You can mirror from your ipad or laptop but you better have unlimited data or it will eat all your data up.

Going into the purchase I thought that I would use it that much...but I was wrong. It is great to have all my movies and music available through a common portal. I can start watch a movie on one TV, pause and then start back up on another. Since have all my music in Apple ITunes Match I can play anything through my AppleTV. I have also gotten to live the other streaming options like PBS (Austin City Limits rocks), A&E and Netflix. (I know MOST devices offer Netflix but is nice to just go to on portal) In the end I have purchase another AppleTV for my upstairs TV. I would highly recommend.

This item is so easy to use and setup was automatic once you touched the phone to item. You'll love the ease of mirroring anything from your phone to the TV.

Easy setup, works out of the box. Great for streaming movie and show downloads to watch on a TV screen instead of a PC screen. Works well with other Apple products.

This little Apple TV (3rd generation) does what it is made for. It is very simple to setup and the picture is crispy clear. I am happy to have it in my house.

This is now my second one of these and I am not an Apple guy. it is small and convenient able to be put anywhere and give access to a lot of different channels.

We love being able to use our other apple products with this. It is great to mirror our devices and watch video's or see pictures that we have. Simple easy to use.

This turns my tv into an internet capable machine. I like that. It sets up easily and does what it needs to do. There are still not many apps for this device and there is no way yet to reorganize the apps that come preloadad. But that's not a big deal. Good product for the money.

Apple products are always so simple and easy to use. I love how it makes it easy to view what you want onto your television just by the touch on your phone.

I bought this for my daughter. She loves how she can use her iPad and then see the picture on the TV. It is easy to use and has all the convenience of a Smart TV.

I have two apple TV's they are great and easy to use, They connect easily to any apple device. I would definitely recommend to anyone who uses apple products.

This is the second Apple TV streaming device I have purchased. Apple TV works flawlessly and takes only a few minutes to set up. Apple TV integrates seemlessly with all of our Apple devices. Downloading the Apple TV remote app to your IPad or IPhone gives you the capability to speak the name of the TV show or movie you are looking for.

Bought Apple TV an d have used it for more then a month. Very easy setup and good connectivity. Does not loose wifi connectivity as seen on similar products.

The Apple TV is great for allowing the ability to view your screen from a Apple laptop, iPad and iPhone with AirPlay. It requires a TV that has an HDMI input and your must buy an HDMI cable. Some delay in picture through the WIFI but otherwise it's great!
