I had the Google Chromecast but with ALL Apple devices (iPod, iPhones, iPads, iMacs) in the household this made perfect sense. Noe we can mirror anything at all onto the TV. Web, Video, Flickr, etc. It is easy and seamless. Chromecast is still good - I moved it to a bedroom TV (non SmartTV) so we have Netflix up there. The price drop made AppleTV a no-brainer.

This device does everything it says it does with ease of use... Highly recommend it if you an apple person! :)

Easy to setup aside from having to navigate the on screen keyboard with just the little remote. Nice interface.

If you own other apple devices you will make the most out of the Apple TV streaming box. AirPlay mirroring is awesome, it is very simple to push contents from nearly any app to your Apple TV.

I bought the Apple TV for use in my bedroom to watch Netflix. I like the AirPlay feature that works with my iPhone and MacBook Pro. Definitely a plus if you have an iPhone or other Mac computers. I found it interesting that I was able to program any remote to work with the device. The remote that comes with the device is small and gets lost easily so I like that I can just use the actual TV remote with the Apple TV. Also through the Remote app on iPhone you can control the Apple TV using your phone. Overall I'm satisfied with the product but it is a bit pricey with a couple cheaper non Apple options out there, but since I'm an Apple fan I couldn't get anything else.

I do miss the old Apple TV's hard drive. This is just a brick without access to your computer or the Internet. However, it does do what it does very well and is intuitive in its use and setup

This device did exactly what I wanted it to do. I wanted to use the Air Play function on my IPad to present information via the digital TV. No problem at all with that intended use. I used a short 3' HDMI cable to hook up to the TV and no complaints. Extras for me were Netflix and other programs that played flawlessly. It is compact and easy to transport when I travel.

Love my AppleTV. Took 2 minutes to set up and works like a charm! Just wish they had more programs available.

It's very convenient to search for movies, shows and also easy to project whatever is on your iphone or ipad.

It's small but great of watching or viewing pic from my Apple stuff i.e. Ipad, iphone and Mac Book on the TV!

I was looking for a cable to connect my iPad to the TV to show a bunch of pix I had taken at a convention. The salesman suggested a more expensive option, Apple TV, which works wirelessly. I gave it a bit of thought and decided to go for it. Great decision. This way I have been able to share stuff on the iPad with a group and not be tied to the end of a cable. Great piece of gear, too, for access to a lot of special programming, like Hulu, Netflix, etc.

It was real easy to connect my apple products to the tv with this. The small size enables you to hide it .

Have had two other similar items were not satisfied with due to difficult set up and poor quality. This Apple TV was simple to use and works great! Just wish remote was a little larger so would not misplace so easily, lol. Need to get another one now since my daughter hijacked it for her room.

Nice product works well and easy to set up. Can also use a blue tooth keyboard instead of the supplied remote.

I have 2 installed on my home network. The performance is great and the picture exceeds my Blue Ray quality. The TV part requires cable television connection but some apps such as PBS allow you to watch shows without a cable provided. I do not have cable - only internet @30mbps - and my network streams via internet connections in three rooms. My streaming on my Blue Rays freezes frequently while my two Apple TVs have never frozen during a month of operation.

Works great makes transfer of information from Apple products easy

Purchased 2 and replaced satellite TV. Setup and use is simple. Have issues with mirroring but it may be iphone related. Wish there were more apps or a subscription service for networks.

I already have an Apple TV and liked it enough to get a second one to give as a gift. It works great as long as you have a good internet connection, and a good proximity between the Apple TV and your router. The wireless connection had too many stops and starts, so I hard wired the Apple TV to my router, and now it works fine. My one pet peeve with it is the tiny skinny remote that is very difficult to use. Sure it looks great, but trying to navigate without constantly hitting the wrong buttons it very frustrating. Overall, still a good product.
