I have another one but this one stopped working and I took it back. I got my money back. Best Buy was great.

If you have a Dolby Vision capable TV( LG, Vizio and TCL) this box will provide an extraordinary picture. The set up is easy especially if you have an Iphone. However there are a few tips. After initial setup you need to go to settings and chose 4:2:2 chroma. Also run the available update to get it to tv Ios 10.2. Once that is done enable source and frame rate match. The Apple TV will then be able to automatically choose the sources HDR format between HDR 10 and Dolby Vision. Remember there are televisions that do not support Dolby Vision ( Samsung and Sony) though Sony is working on adding it. You must also be sure you are using an 18gb HDMI cable between the Apple TV and your television.

very glitchy so had to return it. We have a few of these units in our house, but this one just doesn't work well

We were unable to use this product since the location of our home was incompatible with other providers. Best Buy return was no problem at all.

I’ve had this since 2018 & it is still pretty awesome. I haven’t had any problems. I appreciate that updates don’t take forever. The remote could be better as far as functionality, but it’s not that big of a deal

Lip syncing doesn’t work, constantly freezes, slow streaming. Very frustrating

I would recommend an Apple TV works better than regular smart TV plus has AirPlay

I got this for AirPlay as it’s the easiest way to share your MacBook or iPhone screen or audio to your TV. We use it frequently for sites that would be otherwise difficult to display on a smart TV. You’d probably have to break out the cables. My only complaint would be the remote. At first it feels good because you’re used to swiping on a phone, but after a while it feels too small and there is a small mental disconnect between swiping and seeing it on the screen across the room. I end up preferring the iPhone as a remote.

Look ... I’ve been a tried and true Apple consumer for years. iMac, iPad, iPhone and AppleTV (starting with 2nd generation). And, it has been expressed over and over and over again ... by (I would guess) MILLIONS of people ... Why, in the world, won’t Apple take this little piece of ... metal ... remote and trash it and start over. I LOVE the new “open version” of the Apple TV - 4th Gen. it works well and FINALLY opens up to other, WONDERFUL APPs ... But this little cruddy remote is just as bad as it always has been ... too small, slippery, easily and always lost, always pointing the wrong way. About everything negative you can say about this little slippery “Toad” ... is true. So, go ahead and buy the Apple TV 4th Gen ... but IMMEDIATELY, either download the “AppleTV Remote” APP, or use another programmable one ... just throw the little “Toad” (included Apple TV Remote) out with the box, because it will frustrate you to the point that you may throw the entire device out in the trash !!’

I avoided Apple TV for years because I thought they were pointless and a waste of money, especially since we had bought a smart tv. I was given an older, out of date model of Apple TV and we ended up loving it so much that we upgraded to this newest version and we have found it to be worth every penny. We used to stream content through our Smart TV apps, but not until we got this Apple TV did we know how clear of a picture our tv had because the Apple TV is capable of streaming at a much higher definition. The picture is so much better, there are so many great apps. Highly recommend,

This is an awesome device for streaming media. We love using the Apple TV as the method to bring our streaming content to the TV as it is easy to use and keep up-to-date with all the latest and greatest streaming services... including Amazon Prime now! The 32GB version is plenty if you are not a heavy gamer or want a ton of apps. I have a 64GB version too and I have never even used half of the space on that one.
