Like most Apple products it's design is sleek and sexy. It's easy to use with quite limited functionality and customization. It's also 8overpriced for what it does, connects your Apple device to your television and uses streaming services, and the thing is, it doesn't even do those well. I bought this so my wife could connect her phone to cast on the tv because we have no internet available to us but excellent cell service. Our smart tv and blu-ray both accept casting from my android device (no separate overpriced box required) using my unlimited cell data, but my wife uses Apple and it's not compatible (of course) with anything but it's own crappy tech. So I bought it for her so she could use the television while i was at work. It will only cast over Wi-Fi. As in, NOT cellular data. It forces you to use your limited mobile hotspot to even cast (so casting is pointless) and then it eats the data super quickly. (We have 15gb a month per line, and it will use it before we can finish one movie on low quality) Pro's: she can connect her phone to the TV finally....that's about it. And that's iffy, because it STILL doesn't cast as well as my android which uses no mobile hotspot to do so. Cons: we are in exactly the same boat as before buying it. My wife has to use limited hotspot data to do anything she wants to with the television. The thing can really only be used if you have unlimited internet. Other Cons: Apple. Apple is the con. If I could convert her to a quality product I would. Prayers appreciated.
