Old version of Apple TV is obsolete due to new apps that are not compatible with old Apple TV. However you don’t need to upgrade to the 5th gen.

This works best for the tv that is HD but not 4K TV. It is a great thing to own especially if you have a cable and do not want to get a extra box you can just get this and get the app of your cable company and get others apps like Netflix and Hulu, so you can watch onto a bigger screen.

A bit tricky
