Works great with the new apple laptop! Very good product!

Work perfectly!! I needed additional USb options which I was able to achieve.

I was able to charge Macbook while device was connected to USB HD and HDMI external display.

There are cheaper alternatives that do the same, however if you want the apple looks and quality go for this one.

This is highly recommended for college student who use their Mac book and need to be able to have campatability to other devices.

I bought this dongle to use with my early 2016 MacBook - as it only had one USB-C port. To begin with it is expensive - especially on a student budget - but much needed when you factor in a phone and flash drives. Note: 1.) In order to charge phone via the USB port, the adapter must be plugged into computer. 2.) It makes no difference if the adapter is plugged into the AC adapter (wall outlet) when charging a phone - it will either draw from the computer's battery or the wall. 3.) Some users have mentioned issues with flash drive connectivity - I haven't had any issues using SanDisk or Cruzer flash drives when moving documents or saving files. 4.) It's pricy but a must have. 5.) Pretty durable in my opinion. 3 months of use, stored (crammed) in a laptop bag, and no signs of wear or tear. (unlike other Apple cables..) 4 stars because of price.
